I'm still loving it. But, there are three problems I have with the game:

1. Directional passing. RARELY, does the ball go to the guy I intended. Most times, it's way off. Thankfully, I'm comfortable with icon passing.

2. Rebounding. Computer opponents get ridiculous numbers of offensive rebounds ...

Where are you guys getting these demos? Are they on the disc for Kinect Adventures?

The IGN video reviewer refers to this game as a love letter to basketball fans. I totally agree.

I played the introductory game of the '91 Bulls versus Lakers last night. It was unreal. The presentation was amazing. And, playing with those classic teams reminded me of the old days of playing ...

I used to tune in to their games despite a complete absence of any rooting interest, just because they were that entertaining to watch. I cannot believe this man is not in the Hall!

I played the demo and loved it. I think 800 points is a little steep. But, I'll probably cave.

Actually, I got quite a chuckle out of it...

I'm in the loser's bracket, and my opponent had to drop from the tournament. If it's agreeable for me to move on by default, I'd like to continue and play Bill (Missouri) next.

Looking good - very good. No interest whatsoever in Superstar Mode. But, the core gameplay looks like it might be a more polished version of NCAA, which would be perfectly alright with me.

I'd like to play with BC, if possible.

gametrailers.com has some nice 360 gameplay footage, for those interested. to me, it looks promising.

The title for this thread is perfect. Classic.

This game blends a lot of the good of the 2K series and ID. I like the fact that the guys off the ball actually screen for each other, cut to the basket, etc., trying to create offensive opportunities as they're supposed to occur in basketball. I don't like games where the ability to string together ...

I still play it regularly. In fact, I have a 4-man tournament starting this weekend with some guys from work. Inside Drive still has legs, too, IMO.

Have it reserved for the 360. I'll play NCAA 2006 'til then.

I'm glad I'm not the only one still playing Varsity. For me, there's enough challenge on this level at this point. Perhaps some day, with hard work and prayer, I, too can make the leap to AA. But for now, count me in among those playing in the TBCS (Toilet Bowl Championship Series)

Personally, I enjoy EA's games. However, I hate the super-hero features they love to add that ruins the balance of the game. From the haymaker in Fight Night to the superman guys in NCAA, it's a pattern that needs to stop.

I wanted to see if I could back into the POs. But, you guys can go ahead and start the post-season if that's what it takes to keep this thing going.
