If you could do 1pm, that would be better. I've got a teleconference at 9am that I imagine will last the better part of the hour. 10am Pacific would be best.

In a tense matchup, Utah defeated Oklahoma State 42-27. Both QB's had big games, with Okie State's going 15/30 with 210 yards and 3 TD's. Utah's gunslinger went 11/16 for 223 yards and 4 TD's. Utah had the edge on the ground, putting up 198 yard to Okie State's 146. Turnovers were 3-1 in favor of Utah.

Turnovers turned out to be the difference in the second half, with Utah giving up an interception fairly deep in their own territory before the Utah quarterback was able to force a fumble as the Okie State cornerback attempted to take it to the end zone.

Very fun game.

LOL...w/ three min. left in the 3rd quarter you mean.

I thought I was going to be in trouble after your first drive that was so methodical and precise...only to result in the blocked field goal. Just never got turned around for you...that huge pass play was really the only good thing that the computer let happen to you.

34...I'm sure you wish just came true...you and I bro. Time/day?

Yes, I had seen enough, heh.

Well, the 60 yard TD over my nick Cover-3 defense on the game's opening drive was an omen of things to come. That game was just littered with huge, long plays. 2 INT returns of 50+ yards, 2 (or 3) bombs, a 5 broken-tackle run of 70 yards (I think I even direct hit stick that guy with my LB on that run) it was just an avalanche.

My two long drives ended in a blocked FG and a fumble on the 12. Just brutal.

I didn't see this as a momentum thing, really, or that the computer was stacking things against me. I just couldn't stop the 50+ yard play. Other than that I was playing well, lol. When you play a ball control style of offense...giving up 3rd and 10 plays of 60 yards isnt going to win a lot of games.

I think Tressel just fired me.

LOL...yeah, I coudln't believe it. My star WR was wide open right down the middle of the field. Not quite sure why he ended up wide open, but it worked whatever it was. Maybe your safety got picked or something...but regardless...I know what you're saying.

At least your fumble at the 12 was because I made a play...I was more proud of that one than any of the other ones. I lined that RB up as my outside linebacker took his assignment (the QB) and I hit sticked your RB as soon as he got the ball. He really didn't have a chance.

Also, I think there was a bug in the game. On the 2nd INT return for a TD...didn't you notice that it was my star WR at CB (#1)? I was in a nickle so I know it's not like I didn't have enough CBs...so for some reason he was on the field. Good thing cuz he allowed me to make a nice break on the ball...but seriously, I think it was a bug.

Wow, no, I didn't see that. It was a nice catch.

I did notice that when I went to a 5 WR set that "CB #10" was on the field for me, which I found a bit odd. On that fumble, btw, that was not my star player HB. It was #25, who I think is my 3rd string HB. #18 is the normal backup. I didn't even see that until he was lined up in the backfield. I almost called a TO but thought "ahh it's just one play." Whoops.

I'm back from vacation. Sudz had to get out of the tournament. Does he have a replacement? Do I move on by default?

We need to get things moving here. I've been waiting for an opponent for 2 weeks since my last game and I'm wanting to send this turd back to GameFly soon for some NHL action.

Well you're one of the more impressive ones, with three games actually played and most impressively one game in the losers' bracket. I figure the 'double elimination' part of this tourney is no longer active, but if the other two games that need to be played for my opponent to be determined do actually happen, I'll be ready to go!

In a quarterfinal matchup...Iowa State, behind their running back Stevie Hicks, took it to the Rams of Colorado State in Fort Collins, CO. Hicks rushed for 120 yards on 17 attemps and scored 4 times. That's all the Cyclones defense needed as it held strong each time the Rams penetrated their side of the field. Colorado St. managed 222 total yards, but only found the end zone one time. A fumble and an interception in the 2nd half in Cyclone territory pretty much marked the end of the game for the Rams as the Cyclones capitolized on both turnovers putting 14 more points on the board.

GG 34...Slumber...we're up next bro. What's good for you?

Bill, you gonna update the website so that we know who's home and who's away. 34 and I just winged it today...since we didn't know who was home/away. Thanks.

Rally,
I can play any night this week. Just give me a time. I'd prefer some night around 11 PM, but tomorrow night, 9 would work well.
