No, but you don't need a dramatic change to make it a good game. Look at MVP 2005, they fixed what sucked about 04 and made a brilliant baseball game. There wasn't that much that was new and different than 04, it was just executed 10 times better.
IMHO, the one thing they really need to fix is the AI playcalling. Madden has been a lot better than NCAA in that regard for a couple years. NCAA 06 was better, but the playmaker thing pushed it too far -- it wasn't so much that the AI was calling good plays as it was breaking 4 tackles per carry or bulleting passes between three defenders.
I liked the animations in the videos and little things like the stiff arm. The relative speed of players also looked good, especially on the kickoff return video. That was something that seemed to change after NCAA 03 -- player speed was too consistent.
There are rumors, maybe wishful thinking more than anything else, that they will eventually go with a physics-based animation system, like Morphine or Endorphin.
But EA has too much invested in motion-captured systems and the demo of Tiger Woods they showed, with closeups of his face at the Sony press conference at E3, seem to indicate that they will spend more money on a costly facial capture and scanning process instead.
They could do both but given the licenses they have, especially the exclusive licenses, they might seek to exploit those by putting on the most lifelike image of licensed stars in the games, rather than bother with little details like gameplay balance and realism.

Define dramatic. I think Madden during the last generation got better almost every year. Madden 2001 was unplayable to me due to robo-QBs, lack of sacks, and the lack of a CPU running game. I would consider 2002 a dramatic change from 2001 on PS2.
It's really hard to tell with EA though. Sometimes they've taken games that have appeared near-perfect like NCAA 2004 and then almost completely broken them. NBA Live and NHL were on the right track a couple of years ago, but have taken a turn for the worse.

I guess just getting it on the 360 is a plus.
HAHA...at least if you're gonna give them credit, get their position correct: Athletic Trainer...my girlfriend (who is one) would be PISSED if she read someone call them "trainer" without the "athletic" part.
I was a certified NATA Athletic Trainer and worked in the field for 5 years after college before deciding to pursue another career choice, so I think I can call it anything I want.
Also if your girlfriend (and it's amazing to imagine someone could stomach you in real life on a daily basis) would be pissed off at that then she thinks to highly of her job.
An really did you need to comment on this?

i think trainers are AWESOME... got me taped up and ready to play many games i shouldn't have. they tend to take WAAAAY more time than the docs i have seen for the same problems...

See how I laughed at the beginning...that means I was joking around...actually giving her sh*t as I was typing it...because it's ridiculous that she gets all heated about it. Easy there. And she can probably stomache me because she's not a jackass with the iq of an infant.
And yes you're right Sudz...I have yet to find a chick athletic trainer that's not hot.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned that IGN has an 8 minute Masterbuilt Theatre video up...I'm just downloading it now, but the people at OS say that the graphics look good and that the gameplay looks to be the same as the past games that the NCAA fans love.

Thanks for the heads up, those videos are the best yet. They did a great job of editing down about 15-20 minutes of gameplay footage into a neat little package. I was already hyped up about this game, but the media we're getting tastes of now are just fueling the fire.
Meh. From the videos I've seen, I still think that anyone who believes Tiburon built these football games from the ground up is smoking too much crack. I was always a 2k fanboy, but to me, the game doesn't look like it offers anything we didn't see 2 (or more) years ago.
