The PS3 version has in-game saves for season and franchise games, just not exhibition games. Huge feature for me this year on the PS3. I agree though about the PSP - sleep mode worked fine the last couple of years.

Cool, I'll keep an eye out for Megapunch! I am interested in becomming part owner of some horses and the West Point bunch do seem like a good group. I listen to "At the Races and Beyond" on Sirius and they interview Terry Finley from WP quite a bit.

Why I said Barbaro may have been the best chance in a while is because he was built to win all three Triple Crown races.

He was (I say "was" because he's done racing obviously) a strong, speedy horse that could run for days. He never tires.

No difficulty settings. This is the biggest drawback of the game. If it were more challenging, I would like it a lot more.

Saratoga and Santa Anita are two of the most beautiful tracks in the US. I was at the Saratoga meet last fall (my dad had a horse break his maiden there) and we also went to the yearling sale. That was a rush.

Excellent impressions, Drag. As someone who appreciates horse racing but doesn't follow it that closely other than the Triple Crown, this sounds like a fun, fresh alternative to my steady diet of motor racing games.
