Might and Magic:Clash of Heroes *Update* Coming to NextGen!
Okay, so this is my latest out of left field but great game. If you liked Puzzle Quest (and even if you thought Gyromancer kinda sucked, as I did) you need to run out and pick this up for the DS today!! Best Buy has it on sale for $20, but I think this is the last day.
Great puzzle battles, decent enough story, factions that play very differently, recruiting and leveling up your army, taking care not to lose many key units, etc, etc.
86 on Metacritic : http://www.metacritic.com/games/platfor ... shofheroes
...and I'd personally rank it a bit higher. Easily one of the best games I have played on the DS.

Funny you should post this because I already have a trip planned after dinner with the wife to pick this one up at Best Buy while its still on sale. I'm looking forward to playing it.webdanzer wrote:Okay, so this is my latest out of left field but great game. Between this game and Pinball Pulse which I just downloaded today (and is freaking awesome) I'm excited to fire up my recently dormant DS again.
Yeah, it's nuts. I was around 16 hours myself yesterday. I've been pouring more hours into it early on than I do with most major console releases, easily.Drag66 wrote:I don't post much, but this game is absolute digital crack. I have already logged 20+ hours on the game. Last night, my wife said I may need to attend gamers annonymous. It takes the formula of puzzle quest and improves on it in every way. Easily my DS game of the year.

I've always love the Might and Magic series so I checked it out last night. I only did a few tutorials before the need for sleep won out. It was definitely an interesting take on the puzzle genre, one that I can see being great. I'll dive in more tonight.
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.

I know. I haven't turned my PS3 on in a week because of this game. And I was addicted to Assassin's Creed II before I bought this game. Haven't played it since.webdanzer wrote:Yeah, it's nuts. If there is anyone here that enjoys strategy/puzzle games you NEED to check this game out. I did not put very much time into it when I first picked it up, but with a lot of travel time on the weekends lately I've been able to really get into it.
My only issue is that just once I would like to see a good DS game without kid heroes and "we can do it together" dialogue. I know that is the target audience and what sells, but its really ruined my enjoyment of a few games recently. Luckily with Clash of Heroes the gameplay is so good that I've been able to look past any of that stuff.

Re: Might and Magic:Clash of Heroes *Update* Now on NextGen!
Just wanted to bump this, encouraging others to check this title out now that it is on Live and PSN.
Really fun, really addictive little game that I highly recommend. (See above posts)
I probably won't double dip just yet because of too many other things coming out around now, but if you haven't played it on a handheld yet, you should definitely give it a shot.

Been watching this one since your first heads up... Will probably pick it up next time I'm on Live.
