Ultimate Electronics has a deal on a Panasonic 50" Plasma for $998. It's the Panasonic TH50PX77U model and it's very highly rated by CNET, Consumer Electronics and the ratings people.
I have it and it's a great TV. At $998 you can't possibly go wrong or find a better deal for that type of quality ...

Well beside the graphics, I'd like to know what people see that mean this game plays hockey. EA Sports hasn't gotten hockey for a very long time. This is nothing more than a rental based on EA's history. There were a couple significant problems with NHL 06 that made it a bit ridiculous. Other than ...

Good thing these f**ks got the exclusivity on the MLB license and EA is left with the best game that can't be sold. It's hard to believe in a free enterprise society that licensing crap like this has to ruin it for the paying customer.

The videos are good and the gameplay looks similar to MVP 2005. The throwing system and throw meter are a bit different from last year. Same with the hitting system. Everything else looks similar which is a good thing.
However, I don't believe the game will be nearly as good as MVP 2005 because of ...

I picked this game up today and played a couple games. In HD the graphics when the action is happening is great. If you happen to walk by and glance at the TV while the play is happening it looks like a real game is going on. I might be in the minority but I wasn't that impressed with the graphics ...

I played COD2 and the single player mode is great. Tons of tactical decisions to make and lots of fire fights. Multiplayer is fun too but not quite as good as single player. The COD2 graphics on HD are unbelievably good.

NHL 06 on the PC is actually a very good game now that the game has been mod'ed by someone named iam on the DMHN web site. The big complaint out of the box was that the CPU played too passively, didn't hit enough, and rarely took penalties. With iam's mod the game plays a pretty realistic game of ...

I saw someone on another board messing around with player's resist penalties attributes and said they were getting pretty good results. I gave it a shot myself and used NHL View to lower all player's resist penalties attribute by 15 points. I also increased the fighting frequency for a few players ...

I read a post elsewhere, from a fairly reliable poster, that it might be possible to increase the CPU penalties and CPU hits by adjusting each player's resist penalties ratings. It sounds like adjusting this will make the CPU players play more aggressiveley and they'll go after you with more hits ...

I have not messed with sliders yet, but I don't think I will bother.
Played on default setup, but with Veteran difficulty and 10 minute period. Midway through the 3rd period, the score was 12-11. It was just ridiculous. Like someone said, I don't mind arcade hockey but this is insane. This is not ...

Now, what would be the difference between Jack moving his sliders to the same spot as me? None. Because you're clearly anti-NHL 06 and I don't trust your opinion. That's why.
So as BDitty said, the next time you want private responses in a public thread, use the PM function. I don't want or need ...

Here's a question that has no good answer.... why doesn't EA have a set of sliders for the CPU and a set of sliders for the human controlled players in the NHL series? Lot's of other games do it, even games that EA puts out, and it's a great way to adjust the gameplay to individual preferences.
