The 49ers beat the Saints today behind the running/catching of Frank Gore. Gore rushed 22 times for 167 yards and 1 TD, he also caught 6 passes for 74 yards and 2 TDs.

Drew Brees completed 24 of 31 passes for 333 yards and two TDs. The 49ers defensed lived by the bend but don't break philosophy ...

Corgy99, great game, that was very exciting. Your receivers had some bad cases of the drops on plays that could have extended some drives for you. which would have probably led to a different outcome in this game. Good luck going forward.

The 49ers run over the Falcons in this one, the game wasn't even as close as the score would indicate. In a rare show of sportsmanship/mercy, the 49ers coach settled for a couple FGs late in the game rather than push to the end zone for some more TDs.

Just a quick comment about the franchise tag.

What do you think about some sort of compensation applied to a team that loses a player that was assigned the franchise tag? In the real NFL if you sign a player that has the franchise tag, you have to give up two 1st rounders to the team that loses him ...
