with my bad drive i tried to do the windows recovery thing as well and i couldnt even get the command DIR to list anything on the drive. external enclosure didnt work either, havent tried actually putting it in the PC as a secondary drive.
luckily for me all i lost was some favorites and game saves.

you know whats crazy, i got the exact same error last wednesday.

living down in tampa (bradenton), i see Yuengling everywhere. every super market has it and its on tap at almost every watering hole i visit. not sure how far away from tampa this happens, but at least there is another section of the country that people can visit to get this beer.
