Good to see top teams making it to the world series this year instead of lucky ones. I think the NL might stand a chance this time.

Crazy game. Give them credit, with the score 7-0, you know anyone but the Bosox team believed in themselves. What a comeback, they have the momentum now, they've been in this position before.

Yeah.

I'm thinking that now it seems almost too chliche that Boston will come back to win the series. Meaning...the Rays will pull out a squeaker in Game 6.

Hell of a game last night though. I actually think I could have thrown out the tying run at the plate though. Gabe Gross botched that one!

When Price walked J. Bay at the bottom of the ninth, I told myself: Sh*t here we go again. Bay should have been called strike three when he checked-swing but the 1st base umpire called it safe. Thank goodness the Rays did not choke this time and are going to the WS. Go Rays all the way!

What's worse is that I see many young kids wearing Boston hats here in upstate N.Y.

That's a clear sign of lack of parental responsibility, because no father born and raised in New York state would let his kid wear a Red Sox hat. :) I don't even follow baseball anymore yet was a diehard Yankees' fan as a kid, and I would cringe if one of my kids wore a Red Sox hat.

Take care,

I find it funny that 4 out of 5 of ESPN's "experts" are picking the Rays to win the World Series...including Jim Caple predicting a Rays sweep :D That is just absurd. I need to see his credentials. I love the fact that the Phils are getting little respect.

BTW, Peter Gammons picks the good guys in 7.

I would be stunned if the Phillies get swept. It's nearly impossible for me to imagine that they wouldn't win a single game.

I can accept the Rays as favorites, but given the difficulties the Rays had closing out the Red Sox and the palpable nervousness in their building, I almost think it's equally likely that the Rays may utterly collapse in the World Series.

My point exactly. The Rays could definitely win the series but I just can't comprehend a sweep. Both are solid teams with good pitching staffs. I feel the Rays have a slight edge with their rotation but the Phillies pen is phenomenal. Offensively both teams are very good. Phils have a weird combination of team speed AND power. Plus they are a superb defensive team (outside of the debacle we call Ryan Howard). I take the Phils in 7.

I still can't get over David Price....gutsiest piece of coaching I've seen maybe ever. Although I have been following his career closely and am pretty confident he'll be dominant very soon, I was still surprised he was given the ball last night in the ninth (especially against the righties).

I would be happy to see either team take the WS at this point. Love what both teams have shown us thus far and both are deserving (the Phillies fans moreso than the Rays fans obviously). I'm picking the Rays in 7.

I'm pumped. The Phils have looked good through two series, but the long layoff does have me a bit worried.

Yeah, Price was definitely nails last night. I guess the hype was warranted. He looks legit. Very cool.

He got a few Glavine calls last night.

I was hoping going to the ninth that Maddon would leave him in. What a great game that was.

I am really looking forward to the Series. Two likable teams with some damn good players.

Hope it goes seven. If I was a betting man, I would take the Phils.
