I just saw Jared's post. I had no idea about any "OT" concept, nor did I know the rules about pointless threads. In any event, the point of my thread was a little gesture of good will. Like I said, I honestly found that stuff funny.

I've got absolutely no reason to blow smoke up your ass (Danimal ...

Wow. Wow. Wow.

The absolute truth of the matter is I started this thread with not the slightest bit of sarcasm in mind.

I honestly laughed out loud at the mobiggins' "sugarshanks" and Scoops final post.

From where I sit, that was legitimately good stuff.

For the Record

The last two posts in the now locked soccer thread cracked me up.

I will most definitely be adding "Sugarshanks" to the repertoire. That's some pretty high comedy.

And Scoop's post was the perfect Cous de Gras.

Well done.

And from the Dungy thread:

I suppose you should be on suicide watch now as well right? Because as you say...those guys are a dime a dozen. You fit right in...grab a seat next to your eleven buddies.

Okay, little man. You ARE a new guy around here.
Much better. That "seemed to be" business had me worried.

There are guys around here who are much more ready to rip you a new one for being a troll and/or making newbie mistakes than I am.
Do you realize how silly that sounds? Honestly, am I ...

Another anonymous poster that has threads about the Celtics and Red Sox. Do that ring a bell?
I'm pretty sure (but not certain) that this is the worst insult I've ever endured. That hurts, man.

I mean really, here's a couple of other "exhilarting concepts." One, pulling some ho into a closet and sticking in her bunghole for a quickie and moving on. Or, two, pulling a U of Miami 7th Floor where like 10 dudes score at the same time in like five minutes and move on with it.

And even if we ...

Hood, with all due respect, when you say recreational sports I am thinking of organized league play. Not a once in a while jaunt to the local course or driving range. I know 1 guy who plays in regular amateur golf tournaments.
You interpret "recreational" to mean playing in amateur tournaments ...

I know lots of adults who play soccer recreationally, moreso than any other sport.
Really? Because I'd be willing to bet my first born that a significantly larger number of adults in this country play golf recreationally (notwithstanding the ecomonic barriers) than play soccer. Not even close ...

Thanks for the heads up jlp, I'll use that thread in the future. And yeah, I understand the "C's" are rebuilding, but given that such is the case, they should do the right thing and let a man that has brought almost nothing but class and heart to the franchise go chase his ring elsewhere ...

If Tiger Woods was British or German, do you think that golf would have had such a run here?
All due respect rubba, but Tiger Woods isn't a great example. How many adults do you know in the U.S. who play soccer recreationally? One of the allures of Tiger is that he does what so many people try to ...

Paul Pierce, The C's, Wasted Talent

Does it bother anyone else to see a talented class act like Paul Pierce having his skills wasted in Boston as Danny Ainge brings in more and more Scalabrine and Dickau type trash to the table? Yeah, he's apparently been a bit moody at times, but the guy clearly is a classy dude, clearly leaves it ...

The idea of Damon on the Yankees just bugs me. I don't fault him or the Yanks for the move, but it's a depressing reminder that the role of sportsfan in today's world is to cheer for a uniform, not the players.

Damon embodied the Red Sox spirit, the spirit that brought us the Championship. He ...

You watch soccer the wrong way expecting goals to be the action.

Soccer is like sex. You sometimes have long foreplay with the climax being the goal. The foreplay is brilliant though.

Other times, the climax comes ...
