By the way, you're not talking about the same kind of fallacies as concocting a lie to try and cover your ass after taking a swipe at another sports gaming site, are you? Let me know.
The only person who can't see past the lie is the man who wrote it. Kind of sad but shows the type of person he is. The least he could do is put some effort into his lies.

I don't ask for an apology but Jason damn sure deserves one. Of course that would be admitting you were wrong and a liar.

No, I was referring to non sequitur, amphiboly and such. What is the name of your local commnunity college? I'll point you in the right direction course wise, so you can learn more. Let me know.

I'm blessed. Wow.

By the way, Kaz, do you have any NCAA Tournament opinions or wisdom to share with us? That was the original subject matter of this thread, wasn't it?

Take care,
PK
Yeah, because that's all you've been talking about these last few pages...

Onondaga Community College. And I think it will do a better job of teaching spelling than your local technical institute did for you.

OK, that's a wrap.... Paul has resorted to spelling attacks so I guess we're both out of ammo. Let's call it a night.

Well, considering you were questioning and insulting my basic intelligence in your prior two posts, I do have the right to call you out on your lack of spelling prowess. You spelled non sequitur correctly -- kudos. Guess you didn't check Webster's or Roget's for the spelling of community after finding non sequitur.

Again, you better be letter-perfect in a post in which you question my intelligence, or I'm going to call you on it. That's fair game, especially when dealing with someone like you who obviously is so educated and proficient in every aspect of life, personal and professional.

Hoisting the white flag so soon? I'm disappointed. Until next time ... TTFN.

Take care,

Nonsense, I was being sincere. I'm a big proponent of education and I don't think you're ever to old to go back. If I had the name of the college I could look at the Summer schedule and find the appropriate course.
That would be like me getting mad at you suggesting I went to a "technical institute" as if it was a bad thing (why else would you distinguish?) I'm university educated, but a friend of mine's wife went to DeVry and she is very capable. I'm a big fan of the technical institutes for certain industries. DeVry is great.

The only descriptor I used was "dead". Somehow, you linked that to Jason's site. I want to know why... because it's a mystery to me.

From Jared's reply to Parker earlier in this thread:
Jared wrote:This is a prime example as to why people don't like you. Your posts ooze with an unfounded arrogance that is completely unnecessary. Someone brings out data to back up a claim, and you bring it back at them with a snide comment about how you're "a bit more analytical" than a person that would bring this up. (And don't try and squirm out of this by saying you were referring to the "tv viewer" in general, and not BKrich in his response.)

That, combined with your desire to squirm out of what you say really bothers people.
Hmm ... did Jared also mean to direct this toward Kaz? Or are Kaz and Parker the same guy?

Mysteries abound ...

What is a mystery to me is why I would be posting at Operation Sports? How about instead of avoiding the subject at hand you actually answer the question. How is OS considered a dead forum?

As sincere as a heart attack, I'm sure. Listen, any cred you had in here with many posters other than your Silent PM Army started to evaporate about 45 minutes ago when you slagged Jason's site and then devised a lie to try and cover your ass.

Somehow, sincere and Kaz aren't a match for me anymore, and I don't think I'm alone.

I'm glad you're willing to be my guidance counselor. But as a college graduate, 39-year-old husband and father of three who owns two homes, two cars and works for arguably the top company in my industry, I think I've stumbled and found my path in life OK without you so far.

Thanks, though.

Sincerely yours,
PK

I will gladly answer any question you want, as soon as you explain to me why you think me referring to a dead forum means Jason's site, when Jason himself said the site wasn't dead. What did I say that made you think I was talking about Jason's site?

Kaz,

Remember this from a few weeks ago:

http://www.digitalsportspage.com/module ... ght=#91673"
There's a reason that you're often at the center of these forums arguments, and it's not because everyone has an agenda against you. The forums have been relatively peaceful lately, and I really don't want the same old inflammatory crap (DB has no girlfriend, PK is a yes man, etc.) to start things up again. Try and look and see why you're always involved in this crap, and take steps to stop it. I'm not spending all this time on this site to foster that kind of environment. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
Obviously you didn't listen. Your first post in this thread, even though it could have been a valid point (do people enjoy the rivalry in Parker? maybe...) was ruined by playing the whiny self-persecuted role ("someone will react angrily to this post (because I made it)"). By doing that, people will react. Then you say that you'll "do your part to cut down on the flame wars".

But not even a half-hour later, you don't stick to this. In fact, you go attack someone else's site (and editing the post to add a wink after the fact doesn't do much in changing the tone) and then try and cover it up (OS a dead forum? Come on. And it's obvious from BDoughty's sig that he's at SGN.) Both of these things are unacceptable.

You were already warned before about your behavior (see above), and you haven't learned a thing. So now you're going to have to take a timeout from the forums. I'll ban you later tonight, so you have a chance to get the last word in. After that, I'll lock the thread. This isn't a permanent ban...I'll listen to opinions from others on the site re: the length of the ban and whether it was fair or not. You can e-mail me (editor@digitalsportspage.com) with any comments/requests.

Jackdog,

Why can't you let things lie occasionally? Your response to Kaz was fine until you brought up the Yes Men stuff...that brings up old feud crap, and gets us into this stupid flame war. Stop. This is a warning.

(And before you start complaining about unfair treatment Kaz, Jackdog isn't getting a temp ban because he's only got a warning. You've already been warned...this is your second offense, so you get a temp ban.)

And to everyone,

I'm instituting a new basic forum rule. If I'm sick of the way someone is acting, I'm temp banning them. Plain and simple. I'm really sick of having to deal with childish behavior, lying, constant bickering, etc. So now, I won't. If I temp ban someone, I'll always post why and let people discuss whether I've been too harsh or not (either publicly or via PM).

I still don't get it... if I had told *you*, don't you have a dead forum to rattle around in would that also mean Jason's site? Why is Jason's site the universal dead site?

So we will never know just what forum Kaz was talking about? Even though he clearly stated Operation Sports.

Sorry for all the trouble Jared but even as you said in your post above it is obvious who he was refering to.

All right, Jared. That's fair and I don't think it's too harsh. I still don't have the slightest idea why Jason's site is the universal dead site, and I don't like being called a liar but for the rest I don't have a problem with you banning me. This is the first time you have ever acknowledged that I don't argue by myself in a vacuum, and maybe the threat of getting banned will keep people from angrily overreacting to my posts. Sorry for the trouble.

I don't think Parker causes this stuff. When the server was slow this s*** wasn't here.

Hey Jared,

Can you return DSP to the old server that took 5 minutes to load or post anything? It was a pain in the ass and the forum started looking like a fern in the desert, but at least things were civil and on topic.

Too many people here are more concerned about being a personality and flaming others than discussing sports and sports gaming or helping each other out.

There are some great people here, but the minority of fuckheads that rain their bullshit on this place is too much.

I realize I don't have to read these threads, but eventually they become the only thing to read.

The slap at SGN by Kaz is the last straw for me. (And nobody with a brain believes you weren't referring to SGN, Kaz.) I know......don't let the door hit me on the ass on the way out. I won't.

OUT,

Ted

I wasn't referring to any forum... I said don't you have "a" dead forum for your posts to rattle around in. Kinda like my mom saying, isn't there a playground that you kids should be playing on instead of messing up my living room?

Now you answer my question... why is Jason's site the universal site for all dead forums, especially since he himself said it wasn't dead? What made *you* automatically think I was talking about Jason's site?

Lay off, Kaz... It's obvious you were taking a shot at Brent, and it's also obvious that everyone here knows he's been posting news links at SGN for the last few months.

Maybe you didn't mean to insult Jason or SGN, but it sure came across that way. Like Jared, Jason volunteers a lot of his time and resources to maintain a place that some of us gamers like to hang out in, and I appreciate his efforts. Frankly, I like SGN a lot, and I don't care whether or not you think it's "dead." But, why can't you just say to Jason that you didn't intend to insult him, instead of putting on this act about OS and the "universal dead forum?"

Just good ol fashioned common sense. The very same common sense that EVERYONE who has replied about this has used EXCPET YOU.

You still can't explain the whole OS - Dead Forum statement. If you can give me a solid explanation as to how OS is dead then I will consider answering one of your questions.

I have to give you credit when you go down, you go down swinging. Of course no one ever gained anything punching the air as they fall.
