As you can see, I actually have some upsets in there unlike most analysts.

Yes, as far as why I can come back, this is a different server, isn't it? So, physically I am not were I posted before.
Moreover, what is "here" anyway? Can "here" ever be the same "here" or is "here" just attached to a fleeting moment?

Yes, perhaps I can't honor a bet, but I sure know a lot more about college sports than some people here claim to. I won't bother rehashing what happened at the end of the college football season.
Illinois vs. us will be the best game in the tournament. They are my 2nd favorite team in the tourney, not just because they have the best record, but because they are also a very good defensive team, unlike most of the top seeds. But in the end, our superior and more physical inside presence will be the difference.
It's a joke the regular season BE champ with 4 losses in total is a 4 seed while Uconn is a 2. But that's ok, because our part of the bracket is pretty easy except for Illinois.

The deal was I would not post "here" again.

Parker,
I really don't care if you keep the promise on the bet or not. But this "here" argument is as stupid as it gets. The database that houses what makes the Digital Sportspage forum is exactly the same, and the web address is as well. If anyone was banned on the old server, for instance, they'd be banned on the new server as well.
Anyways, you've always been able to post and do what you want. But just come back and say that for whatever reason (March Madness, etc.) you've decided to post again and not this silly "here" argument.

It's too bad you didn't know as much about the Patriots and their ability to beat the lowly Dolphins during the game that gave us this wonderful 3 month slice of heaven on DSP.
I have to admire you loyalty Parker, but there's no way in hell BC is going to be the National Champions. IF they happen to meet Illinios, it could get ugly for them.
As the unofficial DSP physician---I think he requires haldol more than ritalin.
By the way--forgot to mention that while I was at the BigEast tourney last week watching SU WIN, the BC team and some seriously cocky fans were in my hotel. Needless to say they didnt say boo after 2pm last Thursday and before we knew it they were gone.
With about 4 min left in the WVU game, the entire Garden (minus the BC fans) was rampant with an "ACC" cheer.
Oh well-- they blew sole posession of both the football and basketball titles this year. Go Orange baby.

You're right, it was a lame explanation. But I had to come up with something or you would be disapointed.

The basketball team didn't blow anything. The goal was to win the BE, they did that. Unfortunately, a side goal was to be the number 1 seed in the BE tourney, which they also did, but ran into a hot WV team. The number 1 seed should have played Rutgers or Seton. Still, you can't say BC choked when 2 of their 4 losses came after they had clinched 1st place in the Big East. There wasn't exactly a lot to play for in those last regular season games.
Our fans are cocky? I am, but you really should have gone to a game at Conte. Boston is not a big college sports city, and the atmosphere there reflects it I have to admit. The fans are too quiet if anything, hardly an ACC type crowd.

Nothing to play for?
Perhaps a number one seed in the NCAA tourney?
Maybe pride?
Nobody really cares who won the regular season BE title. BC choked it away, and over the last few weeks of the regular season, they were able to prove they are not a serious title contender. Don't fool yourself.

Tony:
BC and its seriously cocky fans is almost redundant. Aren't they all arrogant asses? I think it's the birthright of any New England sports fan, to be a pompous dick.
Although I would root for Vermont if it wasn't playing SU in the first round. Love the state, and Coppenrath and Brennan are great stories.
Sounds like you had fun watching the 'Cuse win the Big East. How long do you think Forth will stay on the floor Friday before Jimmy pulls him for Watkins? The Watkins-Roberts-Warrick front line was mighty impressive at times in New York.
Take care,
PK
