Same here, I am still shaking from the ending of that game. Props to the Jets, they played a hell a game after a great overtime win last week.Leebo33 wrote:2 more "ugly" or "lucky" wins and I'll be happy.

Did you watch the game today? Their Defense looked really good, but their offense was damn near horrible. What was Ben's QB rating? Yuck...they are a good defensive team that obviously carried them to the 15-1 record this year. Their offense isn't even as good as the Trent Dilfer lead Ravens team that won it a few years back...that's why they are overrated. They will not advance past next week because of that fact. Ben needs to grow up in a hurry if they have any sort of chance whatsoever.Leebo33 wrote:Again. I will ask. How are the Steelers overrated?
Like I said Leebo, Pittsburgh and its fans were already thinking Super Bowl and you guys barely got by the Jets. I don't know what matchup I would like to see more next week. It could be a low scoring affair against the Pats however Pittsburgh probably matches up better against Indy. I don't think Indy can handle a tough in the playoffs. Well they haven't proven that yet I. A win is a win in the playoffs.
However if your team is already out and you want the most entertaining Super Bowl ever you might want to start rooting for a Colt v Falcon game. Vick v Manning might be legendary. Vick is just amazing to watch. Dare I say much for exciting to watch the Manning.

I don't know if I call it luck. That's going overboard. The Jets don't get a punt return or an INT return, and they lose easily. They did nothing on offense. So, yes, the Steelers were lucky Brien missed 2 FG's, and the Jets were lucky to get an INT and punt return. It goes both ways.dbdynsty25 wrote:That won't be "ugly" or "lucky"...it will be "hell freezing over" or a "goddamn miracle."Leebo33 wrote:It really doesn't matter though...2 more "ugly" or "lucky" wins and I'll be happy.
And it's Brien, not O'Brien. Respect the kicker that gave you a present and get the guys name right.
Good game Steelers.

And they choked that one away. They were the most prolific offense probably ever assembled and they got beat. Plus I wasn't a Dolphins fan back then...I was only 7 and hadn't really "found" football yet.Leebo33 wrote:My bad...I just re-read 1984 again and have O'Brien on my mind. You should recall that year. I believe it was the last time your favorite team made it to the Super Bowl.
That's laughable.dbdynsty25 wrote: Their offense isn't even as good as the Trent Dilfer lead Ravens team that won it a few years back...that's why they are overrated.
They struggled moving the ball through the air, but you act like this has been a problem all year long. It was one damn game! They were still able to pound the ball down the Jets' throat in the 2nd half. You can't argue that. Besides, that's the staple of the Steelers offense...smash mouth football.
Ward and Burress are better than any WR the Ravens have put on the field in their brief Baltimore history, and how can you call a team lead by a rookie QB who is 14-0 in his career, overrated?

The Dolphins of course.Leebo33 wrote:Who deserved to make it instead?

Actually I think the Bills were a lot better team over the whole season. The Bills had their lapse at the beginning of the season and the Jets had theirs at the end...either way, the Bills seemed to be a better team from top to bottom...they just started in too big of a hole.
LOL, sure man, sure.dbdynsty25 wrote:The Jets BACKED their way into the playoffs. They didn't deserve to even be there.
Last time I checked, you don't earn playoff spots in the last week, you get them for your performance all year. They won 10 games, no non playoff team won 10 games.
Then they went on the road and beat a 12-4 Chargers team that no one was giving them a chance to beat, and came within a missed field goal of beating a team that hasn't lost since September.
But they didn't deserve it.
Sure.
Yep and they got beat at home in a game they needed to win to make it into the playoffs by the second string of the team you have been calling overrated all day. Have you been drinking today Scott?dbdynsty25 wrote:The Dolphins of course.Leebo33 wrote:Who deserved to make it instead?![]()

why is it that someone like db speaks the TRUTH and gets hammered for it ? db has nothing to gain if pitt won 100-0 or lost 55-7.... he calls it like he sees it, and he knows that people will be pussies about it but thats him, hes real with what he says and he's true to the game... so many people are wishful thinkers, and could turn a huge negative into a positive... my xgf dad is a pitt FANATIC and he told me he wasnt confident in the game til the clock hit 0.... i love when ppl are like "i knew it all along!" when you know damn well you were sitting there biting ur nails just hoping pitt didnt find a way to give the game away..... just my 2 cents..... btw, i expect the vikings to lose big time tomorrow and cant wait for it, mn is one of the worst sports towns ive been in =)

Sure, most 16-1 teams are terribly overrated. Let's see, QB plays poorly, several turnovers, special teams blowup, and a W. I'll take it every day of the week and twice on Sunday.dbdynsty25 wrote:Deal with it...your team is terribly overrated.

The league's best player? Are you fu*king kidding me? He's like the 25th rated qb in the league. The league's best player is Peyton Manning my friend...Vick can't even polish his shoes.fletcher21 wrote:way to be a man about it 34... no joke man, big props for the civil reaction mangXXXIV wrote:Left Brothers house early...well s***...game was over....

The Bills didn't make the playoffs because they lost a must-win game against the Steelers 3rd string...at home. Their poor start had nothing to do with them not making the playoffs.dbdynsty25 wrote: the Bills seemed to be a better team from top to bottom...they just started in too big of a hole.

badgun i dont care for stats... if vick was told he could not scramble and had to be a pocket qb like manning he could f*** some stuff up.... vick is exciting, a lot more than a redneck(manning) from louisiana or wherever the hell he's from.... vick may not pass for the yards manning does but id say a 30 yard vick run is wayyyy more fun to watch than a 60 yard manning td pass, but what do i know huh

Yeah, except for the 1000th reference to the SeaHAWKS. Man, that was great watching the Falcons literally run all over the Shams tonight. Talk about yummy...fletcher21 wrote:way to be a man about it 34... no joke man, big props for the civil reaction mangXXXIV wrote:Left Brothers house early...well s***...game was over....
