Many believe the 60/40 Penn. poll was a fraud but the rest of the polls were certainly believable. They only had Kerry up by a point or two in the other battleground states.

The TV stations still show exit polls like these during election night if you have half a brain. CBS showed an exit poll on the air before Ohio was decided. It didn't have the final totals, but it was divided by age groups. Doing some quick math, Ohio should have gone to Kerry by at least a few points. Bush was ahead with the over 60 crowd, but not enough to give him the state.

Would it be in the realm of possibility that the Kerry "pollsters" put out fradulant numbers to discourage the Bush voters from even going to the polls? Maybe the pollsters were more than stupid like the people they hired to register voters? I mean moron registered "Mary Poppins", "Peter Pan", etc. getting paid for in crack. Not only that the DNC fought like hell to get it to be legal to vote in any precent in the county you live in. The dems wrote the book on voter fraud. Oh and Slick Willie said you freakin lost and to quit bawling about it. all the millions wasted by 527's. Forged documents. Illegal voters. Neverending help from the media. And you STILL lost.

It wasn't just one or two exit polls. Kerry was ahead in all of the battleground states in at least 5 sets of exit polls I saw before the election was over. I seriously doubt the Democrats tampered with all of these exit pollsters from CBS and the various AP sources.

Who is whining? I accept that Bush won. But I'm just desputing the accusations that the Democrats were responsible for the inaccurate exit polls. The Democrats don't need these false charges on top of everything else.

I also think they should get rid of exit polling. It's too easy to skew/manipulate.
This man is a genius.
Too bad I voted for the loser :D In fact, my presidential and Senate candiates lost, only my rep won (and he was the Republican).

Seriously, though, they should make it illegal to do exit polls. Do we really need to know right away who is ahead? Even with this election, which was again pretty close, we knew by the next morning who had won. And it easy to manipulate these polls. Blueduke's scenario of lying to discourage Bush voters is easily possible. Also, I heard from a friend that some Republicans had planned to lie during the exit polls as well, both to skew them and to make the media look stupid (which isn't hard).

I do think it's time for serious election reform, however. We have four years until the next presidential election. Come up with something better than this chaotic, rock-paper-scissors approach, for God's sake. If I can order porn through my TV, I should be able to vote without having to stick a pin through a piece of paper or fill in bubbles.

Well, despite the apparent media lockdown on this story (which I understand), strange election happenings are still coming to light:

RE: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6210240/
"29 of those Florida counties had large Democratic majorities among registered voters (as high a ratio as Liberty County— Bristol, Florida and environs— where it’s 88 percent Democrats, 8 percent Republicans) but produced landslides for President Bush."

Well, let's see. From Florida sec. of state....

election results from Liberty county from previous years...
http://election.dos.state.fl.us/electio ... /Index.asp

Election of 2000
Liberty voted 1317-1017 for Bush against Gore.

Election of 1996
Liberty voted 913-868 for Dole against Clinton

Well hell, this conspiracy thing goes back a way. 88% dems and the majority voted for the (R)? Here is a nice pdf http://homepages.nyu.edu/~yv226/FloridaAnalysis.pdf

Let me summarize it, lots of (D) registered in certain florida counties but lots of (R) victories for 2004, 2000, 1996 (clinton won majority of those counties in the pdf though).

So, they have been cheating for a while now? Well, Liberty county voted voted for Mr. South Jimmy Carter over Ronald Reagan in 1980 (the last Presidential Election for which data is available there) by a margin of 1,111 - 895. Sooo, more PROOF That the cheating began after 1980 cause in '84 they voted for Reagan over Mondale 1,409 -649. Could it be that (D)'s in the south don't like a north eastern liberal anymore than the (R)'s do? While they may be registered D, they have conservative values and don't vote as robots for a north eastern lib? But run a southerner and they'll vote for him?

Well hell, the answer has to be to do away with elections then. Just decide by voter registration since that should determine who you vote for. But it doesn't.

More Olberman logic from his show: Since Baker county in Flroida passed a minimum wage increase with more than 70%, Kerry should have won with something near 70%. But he only got 48%. PROOF of cheating. Sooo, by the same logic in Oregon where gay marriage was voted down, should not bush have won by the same margin it was defeated with? Since everyone who voted against gay marriage is a homophobe neanderthal lack wit that automatically voted Bush? But Bush lost Oregon. PROOF of cheating according to Olberman.

Please, Olberman should stick to sports.

Every election has a certain amount of fraud and bad counting. It does not prove the other guy won. This is not a brand new thing. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try and discover and stop the fraud by all means, but it is something that will always happen to a small degree. You can't watch everyone everywhere when voting or counting votes.

Halo has shown us the light!

Seriously, I'm worn out from the whole thing. My side lost, I have accepted it, I'm going to take a little break and then get ready to spit into the wind again.
