DSP NHL Week 5 scheduling

I say on the league website we have a schedule meeting thread. That way everyone knows where to go to check on/leave message for thier next game and the commish can instantly see who is trying to set up thier game and who does not participate.

(I have set up a game with the new Ducks owner tonight)

Let's see how many games we can get in this week.
I just don't like the outlook. I don't want to be in a league with 50% participation. We could easily downsize, and put together a great league with 90-100% participation.

I check this thread to see who extends an invite and who doesn't reply to it. Half of last week's scores were decided based on who showed up and who didn't, the other half by pure coin toss, best of 5.

I'd like to ride this horse for a couple more weeks and see what develops. I know blublub probably won't show, but the rest of the members have no excuse other than apathy. I've gotten all 5 of my games in, had fun.

Next week, we will have two game nights. One on Tuesday and Wednesday, 11pm eastern. Be online from 11 to 11:30. You can even play something else if you want, just make sure you have your opponent on your buddy list so that you may contact each other.

If you can't make either night, send me and your opponent a PM either here on on the league page or I will decide the outcome for whoever showed up. Likewise, if you don't show up, you lose. I hope this will move the league along at a faster clip.

If a game week should fall between Tue and Wed, or not include them altogether, I will hold the deadline out for its full length as to allow for scheduling the contest on your own.

I'm on Mountain time and can do most evenings, 6-10.

Mo, checking this thread does not really gage who is trying. A lot of people use email, aim, PM, or the league website. It's really a nightmare sometimes not knowing what the other is using/visiting.

And a game night is cool but I know I work very early and am not up that late on weekdays. I guess I should just bail out then.

We can say 10:30 on one night and 11 on the other. How's that, skye?
Is that still too late? 10 would be okay with me as well. I want this to work with everybody. Plus I think if you arranged it ahead of time, your opponent wouldn't mind meeting you up a bit earlier.

RallyMonkey.....what happened? You said 10pm Fri and you didn't show up? I saw you online playing NBA Live with Sport and I tried messaging you on xbox live, but no reponse? No offense to you personally, but this is the 3rd week in a row where I didnt get to play a game. Getting really tired of this. I think we should just pick the 10 or so guys that really want to play and start a new league.

I concur.

So far 5 games have been played and that's with the extended deadline.

I can't see things getting better, especially after Tuesday.

I got my game in and while im new to this forum per se...I think if everyone is having this much of a problem, get rid of this league now and just start over with the guys who have been getting their games in, or at least trying.

No need for everyone to suffer...it has to be a pain to setup a time, get online and see the person you are to face playng a diffrent game .

I think a new league would be best and im down for it if you guys make one.
