Skye - If you're playing Mo at 6 EST in hockey, then how about we schedule our football game for 7 EST? Please let me know, as I want to make sure I am online when you are. I have family stuff as well, so I won't come online until just before our game.

Mo, check with Bill Abner...I'm pretty sure you can reset games. He had to do it in the NFL league. Seriously, ask him. You're going to need to do this more than once over the duration of the league.

After 10 PM works. How late can you play? The MNF game normally goes to about 11 PM.

Fun game tonight grtwhtsk and it also helps when your playing such a good guy as yourself (Smoooooooch)

This league stuff is the sh1t, fun as hell and tracking all the stats, great stuff. Has anyone going to be trading players? Is it allowed?

The league should be fine hopefully, just one game a week, thats no problem for anyone. Half an hour once a week.

I think I play Dallas next, going to use my feet when I play.

With this league, we can't play out of order. We have to play a specific person. This requires scheduling with one specific person, both setting a night and specific time. So, suggested league nights might work, but there has to be some method to the madness. It has to be more than just "let's have a league night on Tuesdays". This was attempted at pacuca's site and some games would get played, but it was because of the flexibility. With pacuca's league it worked ok because you could play games out of order, so on league nights you just logged into a lobby, waited a bit for someone to come on, and played... didn't have to wait for a specific person.

One way league nights might work in this league is if we have set starting times for games, say... every hour or something. I don't want to log into the lobby and just wait... but if I had to login at 9, wait 10 minutes, go play something else, log back in at 10, then again at 11, to try to find my game, I would be ok with that.

I do think that having guys just schedule their games via e-mail or PM might be better, but I'm willing to give league night a try. It definitely would be nice to know that on a certain night... people will be ready to play. It will also be cool to see other game scores updating as we play!

I really want this league to work as well.
I think if we said, 'let's meet Tuesday night from 9-10,' then we could even play other things, but if we had each other on our buddy list, we could give the other a heads up to know we're here and ready to play. See what I mean? So you don't just wait for ever, you can play some other game, even, and get a message while you're playing that that your partner is online.
Hopefully skye and I will play ours this evening. I kinda dropped the ball, er, the puck on it last night.

Whoa nelly... I'm happily married. Don't need a "partner" right now... thanks though!

Seriously though... gamenights might work, but it can't be only a 1 hour window. I like your idea of using the friends list and inviting or sending a message. If we know Tuesdays are gamenights we can all go on and play something... when both are on, one sends an invite.

Gotta make sure you're not playing something that'll keep you tied up too long, like Madden online or some baseball game in your franchise without in-game saves. It'd be nice to know that if I invite my opponent they'll come play me within 10 minutes or so.

It was fun Grog, even though you took it to me on the scoreboard. Thanks for the compliment, but seriously, I think that means a lot. Grog and I were talking it up during the game, and a bit after. This league, and other leagues to follow, really can excel.

Grog - if you're up for it, let's play some non-league games. What do you think?
