Just added Rome: Total War to my rotation.

Did some trades to get it... and am damn glad I did. I've never played anything in the Total War series but the raves about it here, at gaming sites, and at my office prompted me to get it.

Just started, but can see that this is one polished game. Runs well on my machine, and I love the mix of strategic gaming with RTS. I really love the way the battlefield is portrayed. It's really nice graphically, but the main thing is it is very easy to see what is going on. Feels like you're really part of it.

So far I'm enjoying it.

Pretty much:

Madden (franchise)
ESPN Football (online)
Fable
Far Cry (PC, still haven't finished)

I also might get back into Soul Calibur on the GC.

Madden has been reborn for me. After being ready to run over it with my car, I put it away for a week and came back to it. Now it's like I finally get it. The game still has issues, but it's suddenly enjoyable rather than frustrating. I even blew a 21-3 lead against the Eagles last night, allowing them to score 29 points in the second half for a 32-24 loss, and it didn't feel cheap at all.

Hey DB, how's that Call of Duty expansion pack? I was thinking of getting that.
