Mo, I didn't think of it in that way. Go ahead and replace me. Do I need to drop or can you do that without me involved?

I have the Habs.

I can play sunday-wednesday at 9-11 central.
I be the Hawks. Those times work. Send me a game email sometime Sunday, and we'll try to hook up.

I can drop you. Sorry about your xbox. I didn't mean to sound as harsh as I did in calling you deadweight. I guess that came across harsher in writing.
I hate to drop you, but the main problem remains that with a win or a tie, it skews the results for the league. The first couple of people who played you would get an advantage over the rest.
No hard feelings, I hope.

Well, it says that once a league starts you can't add players after dropping them. I'd like to see how it's gonna generate a schedule with an odd number of teams after it wouldn't let you start with an odd number in the first place. Do you still want me to drop you?

Just give him a loss for the next game or so and let's move on. 1 game a week is not hard to commit to so I think this league will be ok.

TheTruth wrote:Ok, here's the deal on the xbox. I am sending it in for repair. I tried my hardest to get it fixed for free but they wouldn't budge. I think Granato or someone else recently had theirs fixed for no charge, even out of warranty, but no dice. I got a reduced out of warranty repair cost of $59, free shipping, plus a game. I will receive the box to ship my xbox around Tuesday of this coming week and he said it will take them a day to repair. Process should take 2 weeks. I hope this causes no problems, but if you have to get someone else I completely understand.
Is there any way you can use a friends XBOX for a night or play over at their place?

What about buying an XBOX and then returning it within the 30 day period most stores offer.

You signed up for the league cause you wanted to play - hopefully we can find a way for you to still do so while your system is being worked on.

Good luck!!

blub, tonight might not be a good night. I've got a espn nfl league game to get in around 11pm EST. I'll be around tomorrow night and Sunday night after the late game. I'm also pretty flexible for next week.

Okay, what I will do is wait until the end of the deadline and give him a loss, though I don't know what happens if I just let the deadline for the first round pass by without having Truth and his first round opponent play. Do they both lose?

No idea.

Anyway, yeah, everybody go ahead and play their games as planned, and when October 6 comes around, we'll see what happens. I'm thinking it will probably say something like 'thetruth and his opponent did not complete this game, what do you want to do about it' and I will just give truth a loss, or a tie if that can be done. I think a tie is fairer for everyone involved.

laurenskye, it's you and me first round, man...when's a good time for you?
I'm off monday and tuesday. I think monday evening would be best for me, but sunday evening is good, too.

Just got done trying to play a game with JackB1 and we had some problems to say the least. First try we had a bunch of lag, so we decided to start again. Second time we still got the lag and decided to totally sign out and in again to Live. Unfortunately when we were trying to quit something went wrong and it said the connection with the opponent was lost and it ended up giving me a win and JackB1 a loss. We then hooked up in an exhibition game and it ran pretty smooth except for the very occasional lag and i won 3-2, but that was meaningless of course.

Don't know if it's a bug when you quit leage games or something but hopefully no one else has these problems. It's just one game so i guess it's not that big of a deal, but i'm still very bummed we didn't get to play a real game.

I left you a message on the league website days ago.
Monday is cool if it's around 6-8 pm EST.

Sorry, Jack, the game won't let me do anything. Funny, the results say 0-0 but a clear winner was picked out. Weird.

That's probably what happens when they give a win to someone because the opponent quits, but of course that's not what actually happened. Sucks.

2 more days until deadline... only 4 of 12 week 1 games have been played. I thought more games would have been played by now. Usually enthusiasm is up during the first few weeks of play and games get done quick.

Anyhow... I hope everyone gets their game in. Deadline is Wednesday October 6 at midnight.

What happens if there are still games to be played after the deadline?

I think Mo decides them with a coin toss.
