For what it's worth 2k25 runs muuuuuuch better on my ROG Xbox Ally X than PGA Tour does...so I'm back to playing 2k25 when I'm on my handheld.
I play EA 2023 on the cloud and it runs like a champ and an waiting a bit to see what the next handhelds look like. Played 2K25 today about four hours and am making progress and a bear to figure out putting and chipping. I had contemplated buying the ROG Xbox Ally X and still may as I like what it offers over the others but still holding out. Have Switch and love it and even considered getting Steam OLED Deck but if I had to buy right now I would get your setup.
PGA 2K25 runs great on the Switch 2. Steady fps. It has impressed me. Chipping is brutal if you are using 3 click swing. It’s broke. But it’s fine with the swing stick.

Thanks for the quick impressions. Was curious how it ran on the Switch 2.
Was checking out world wide sales of the last three installments of this series and here is what we got.
2K21. 3 million
2K23. 516 thousand
2K25. 185 thousand.
That's telling and not surprising as I have said all along that 2K21 was the gameplay of the series. With those numbers for 2K25 you got to wonder if there will be a 2zk27 and the money brought in for 2K25 is around 11 million and that not a lot for a Class A title. I think they beat themselves with the new pay to play aspect with VC and sorry but Im not paying extra after 70 bucks for the game itself. At Pro I'm clueless and can't break a 100 but at Amateur I can hang around par and it's enjoyable so thats where I will land with this title but then again I just got it and am a year behind the field. To me I wish HB would just part with 2K as 2K is nothing but a money grab and if they put a game out in 2027 that won't change and thats a shame.

wait what? there's no way 2k23 or 2K25 has not sold at least 500K each. what are the sales for EA's golf game?

Only have totals world wide for Steam and not as high as people think. I have a feeling the 2K games could be higher also but EA and Sony and Microsoft won't divulge numbers for consoles but will for other games which could be because they dont like the numbers. See below for Steam copied from Goggle.
While not representing total console sales, data from trackers indicated that by early 2024, the Steam (PC) version had estimated unit sales in the range of 70,000 to over 130,000, with a reported revenue estimate of approximately $2.7 million on that platform.

ok for steam yeah those numbers would make sense. but for console 2K23/2k24 each had to reach 1 million copies sold or close to it.
