Atari coming out with something, new console?

It does doesn't it? That will be a feast for the eyes in 4K res @60 FPS, when I finally get a display that can support it... I'll get there before November 7th, I'd guessDiablo25 wrote:Holy Christ Forza 7 looks sick.

A new Halo title with HDR effects and 4K resolution, running at 60 frames per second would have perhaps made that $499 seem reasonable. As it stands, it may prove like a luxury purchase until inevitably, the price tumbles.Rodster wrote:I'll wait for a pack in game bundle just like the Nintendo Switch when it's discounted. The problem with the Scorpio is that there isn't any compelling game to warrant the purchase like Bloodborne or Horizon Zero Dawn did for the PS4 or Zelda for the Switch. Microsoft is using Forza just like Sony did with Ridge Racer. That isn't a system seller.
And that pretty much has defined this generation of consoles. Sony is kicking ass with 1st party exclusives while Microsoft has taken a step back and has relied more on third party games.
Yup if Microsoft, Best Buy or Gamestop has a decent trade in like they did for the Switch where you can trade a console in for $200 trade up with NO bundles involved then yeah count me interested.10spro wrote: A new Halo title with HDR effects and 4K resolution, running at 60 frames per second would have perhaps made that $499 seem reasonable. With rumours that the PS4 Pro may drop in prices, it'll be interesting to see where the gamers will go. And as you said not sure even if they pack Forza 7 would make them an automatic system seller.
Having said that, if they have a decent trade in program, I am all for it. For the record, I am not so keen on the X brand name, I would have left it as Scorpio.

Exactly what are PS4's strong games? Horizon is a great game, it was also lost in the crowd. Calling it a system seller is not accurate, it SHOULD of been a system seller but it wasn't due to poor launch timing and little to no buzz from Sony.Rodster wrote: And yeah MS needs to watch out for the PS4 Pro because of Sony's strong 1st party games, again something MS totally dropped the ball on this hardware generation since the PS4 and XONE were introduced. Where are the new system selling IP's like Gears of War or Halo brought to the XBOX's? Everything so far has been there done that. I'm with Rob on the nothingburger.

Last of Us, Uncharted, MLB The Show...to name a few PS4 exclusives besides Horizon, which isn't my cup of tea anyway, so never played it.Danimal wrote:Exactly what are PS4's strong games? 2 of the 3 titles you name would qualify as been there, done that. Last of Us was a PS3 game right? I'm asking where are these new IP's that are must haves, that is what he was alluding too.Where are the new system selling IP's like Gears of War or Halo brought to the XBOX's?
