I just use the instant replay function in the game, and then say, "record that" after it plays out. You could also snap the game DVR and have it record the last X minutes, and then edit it down to what you want to show. But 30 seconds is usually plenty once you figure out the angle you want.

Do you have a Kinect? If not, many of the functions can now be done by double tapping the Xbox button. That will let you snap apps, too.

But mostly, for replays, which I do me often, I just find the angle and and such, run it, and say record that. It automatically uploads to your activity feed when you do that, too. Thankfully they stop uploading every clip games automatically record, which in Madden is mostly TD scores. They are still on your Xbox, but don't fill your feed unless you purposely share them. But if you use the Record That function, it records and uploads to the activity feed automatically. So if you don't want it shared, you might have to go to the feed and delete it manually.

Also, for Youtube, they have made it really, really easy. Just download the Youtube app is you don't have it already. Link it to your account. Then bring up the menu on the left and choose upload (I think, I'm doing this from memory). It will then show you a menu of clips you have saved. Choose one, title it, and boom, it's on Youtube.

The only problem is that 5 minutes is the best you can do. The other option, if you want to use Twitch to record a full session, is to use the Game Hub to launch the gam. Hit the menu button ton the game you want to play, choose Game Hub, from there you can launch the game with different options, like without achievments. One is to broadcast. Then I believe you can set Twitch to save your clips, which should give you access to longer clips to use. I have never done it, so someone else might give a better explanation.

You can also snap Twitch and start broadcasting that way, but if I know I am going to broadcast, the Game Hub is an easy way to get it started.

I usually snap to game dvr and save the last few minutes. Then when a game is done I use upload studio to cut my clips down to size and then combine them in to say a series of highlights for a game. It's really easy.

I thought the max amount of time to save was adjustable? Or is that PS4 only?

The XB1 keeps a 5 minute buffer. I suppose you can edit multiple 5 minute clips to create a longer one. But regardless, there is not a simple was to record a full game.

I'm not sure there is a limit but if I want to record a long clip I just snap the Game DVR and hit START NEW CLIP (I think that's the prompt). When you are done hit END RECORDING. Again, I have no clue if there is a limit but I can't imagine it's only 5 minutes.

Man this game is so good for me right now

Started franchise w the cowboys and it's been fun. All 4 games so far played different. Game wants me to come back for more.

I know ea said dont start franchise until they fix it. Based on ea history that means play it now until their next patch breaks the game.

I play franchise like season mode so all that extra stuff I don't care about.

I'm just having fun playing the games.

I am sucked in. :D

Seriously, though, after a few games with Ultimate Draft (very fun mode), I feel like someone at EA did a focus test with me and addressed most of my complaints from last year. It's a small sample size, but seeing the AI throw a 50-yard strike in my first game after years of dink & dunk by the computer QBs was a welcome change. Also seems like ratings really do matter beyond speed this year. I had Herman Moore and Andre Caldwell as my number 1 and 2 receivers, and Caldwell really did play like No. 2 compared to the legendary Herman Moore. Plus I did not see a lot of speed boosting by the DBs -- slower CBs get burned in man-to-man if they don't have help.

The sideline awareness is SO much better, and I also love the trucking animations with RBs. Everything seems much more fluid than last year.

Here's hoping the franchise bugs get fixed pretty soon, because I am very eager to play through a season with this.

While you wait for your franchises, this really is the year to give MUT a try. The gameplay improvements transfer nicely, but more importantly, you really can play this mode without spending a dime. The gold and free packs flow freely through solo challenges that are more varied and interesting this year.

I did the Coin-Up this week, where if you win the game you get a card that you use to predict the winner of a game, in this case the Arizona/Oakland preseason game, which is worth 2500 gold. If you win the second game you get a bonus chance where you are given a series of choices. I picked Oakland getting 3 sacks for 15K gold. If I had picked Arizona getting a defensive TD, it would have been worth 40K gold.

I've only spent about $1.80, as there is a good two for one, and a bonus pack that will give you a decent number of players to get started. My team started out as a 69 OVR, but I have played my way up to a 79 OVR by winning packs and using gold I have won to find players in the Auction House. The higher your teams OVR, the harder it is to improve. Better players cost more, and it becomes increasingly harder to find players with significantly better OVRs. Let me put it this way, I am really excited by finding Dereck Carr (77 OVR) for cheap to replace Drew Stanton (69 OVR).

It's a lot more fun now than the end of last year when I was managing my 93 OVR team. You can spend money to build quicker, but it's more fun to build methodically. I spent money last year, but won't make that mistake this year.

I started a franchise because I figured I would just restart but it's not worth it. So much of what works in Play Now is broken in CFM it's astonishing.

Auto Subs don't work.
Defensive Holding Slider resets to 50 so won't save any changes.
Zero injuries to player controlled teams / games. I'm controlling 3 teams through 6 games (so 18 total) I saw a QB get dinged once to return. Not a single injury on either side. However plenty of injuries in sim.
Confidence Boost from drive goals is just plain broken which in inflating user controlled teams.

There is more than that but it is not worth playing a franchise.

[conspiracy]It almost makes you think that EA wanted to force their customers into other modes. They seemed awfully quick to tell people just to not play CFM. I'm sure it got a lot of people to try Draft Champions, and free mode that provides you rewards that you can use in MUT.[/conspiracy]

Bought the last of us ps4 bundle today and madden 16 was included for free. This is my first madden in several years. I am brutal on defense. I can't even get an ounce of pressure on the qb, and I can't stop anyone. Any tips?

Another odd thing I was playing on Very Slow speed and was losing a lot, finindg the game really hard. I switched to slow and find I can run the ball better and well just about do everything else better. I went from barely winning and losing more than not to beating the Packers 48-31 and the Cardinals 48-10 as the Bears.

Just really odd.

I'm just shocked at how good this game is. The animations are like a real life NFL game. Running is great.. firing a bullet to my TE for 15 yards makes me giddy. The whole package from kickoff to the end of the game is just really well paced and put together. I can't wait for the first patch and a start to my Rams franchise.

Franchise as is is really fun. At least for me. I wouldn't wait if you like season you mode.

MUT offline is great. I have spent ZERO money and have already amassed around 30k coins.

My youngest loves it as well. This mode has turned out to be a great way to teach simple economics to young children without using real money :)

I'm glad you're enjoying it but there are several things that would still effect season mode the largest if which is the inflated stats boost during a game. In a game I played last night I had multiple players whose ratings where over 120 because I was winning.

I agree, I am really enjoying it, even with just Play Now games. The WR-DB interactions may be the best single-year improvement I have ever seen in this franchise.
