Re: DEAL ALERT THREAD
BTW I ordered that headset on a lark, was ordering stuff from Amazon anyway and now that I'm playing more on live I needed something to replace that cheap thing that comes with the system. However now I'm having doubts, it looks like those plus into the audio out on the console and not the controller. Anyone have these?
I love my Sony wireless headset because i can use it on my PC as well.

The headset comes with the adapter that plugs into the controller. http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-One-Stereo-H ... et+adapterDanimal wrote:BTW I ordered that headset on a lark, was ordering stuff from Amazon anyway and now that I'm playing more on live I needed something to replace that cheap thing that comes with the system. I personally just bought the adapter separately so that I can use my own headset that is of much better quality. V-MODA M-100s w/ the optional Boom Mic. Heaven on the ears. Tho a little more expensive at $340...lol. It's my main audio headphone, so it's multipurposed now.

Thanks...walked out with GCU for only $16.Bakes wrote:Best Buy has 2yrs Gamers Club Unlocked for free with the purchase and activation of any cell phone. The kicker is you can also get this deal with a cheap pre-paid phone. I grabbed a $15 AT&T Z222 and that qualified. So basically a 2yr GCU membership for $15. Use it once on a new game and it pretty much pays for itself.
eta - you don't need to activate the pre-paid phone for the deal to work.

Re: DEAL ALERT THREAD
I enjoy shopping at Best Buy. But good Lord, its 50 percent trade-in bonus is such a shady racket.
Destiny is a fine example. Two weeks ago, with no trade-in bonus, Best Buy was granting $40 for a trade. BB is offering $25 this week during the 50 percent trade-in bonus promotion, which adds up to a trade value of $37.50.
In other words, no change other than standard depreciation.

LOL...are you just now realizing that they price fix the sh*t out of their games when the bonus is in effect? Thought the tightwad in you would have noticed that years ago!pk500 wrote:I enjoy shopping at Best Buy. But good Lord, its 50 percent trade-in bonus is such a shady racket.

Yea, I don't trade in unless I have too. Always try to sell on Half.com/Ebay first.

Best Buy's trade system may be a racket, but its values hold up well compared to the eBay/half.com marketplace. Less hassle, too.

Re: DEAL ALERT THREAD
BB is more than fair with its trades of course they had to tweak a $40 trade in otherwise it would be $60 this week and $80 on another week.
Re: DEAL ALERT THREAD
You get 20% off any new games, 10% off all used, and extra 10% trade in credit. It is normally $120 for 2yr membership. Not worth it at that price for me but for $15 bucks it's a steal.Danimal wrote:At the risk fo sounding like an idiot what is Gamers Club?

Re: DEAL ALERT THREAD
Tell her to grab the week's ad and point to #5 (fine print on the bottom of the page) on the cell phone page. Activation not neeeded on no contract phones. Don't be bamboozled in to buying a game and an additional $30 for the membership!Danimal wrote:My wife is at Best Buy trying to get this deal and even thought it is literally in their flyer they are saying they can't find it in their system. too late, out of stock. I'm sure BF will have lots of XBO deals. I was definitely getting one but now I don't know. Those gamestop guys have somewhat convinced me not to get one.pk500 wrote:Kinect-less XB1 for as low as $275 at Kohl's, with coupons:

FYI, American Express has a $25 rewards back when you spend $250 or more at Best Buy. Good until 12/31.

Re: DEAL ALERT THREAD
having both now I guess it depends on what you'd use the one for? If most of the games you're interested in are multi-plats then I see no need for you to grab one. If you want some xbox exclusives then obviously it's worth it to pick it up. For me there's a noticeable difference in some early multi-plat games in favor of the PS4. Most notably for me is BF4. But when I fire up FH2, MS's console shows it can definitely hang in regards to graphics and performance.Inuyasha wrote:too late, out of stock. I'm sure BF will have lots of XBO deals. Thanks for this info. It helps. I'm still on the fence, and I really want to play FH2, but buying a console for one game I don't know. Maybe I'm hearing too much from ps4 fanboys.
