Ya I can see that if you're into the media thing. But just for gaming perspective, other than Forza, can you seal the deal for me on xbo? I know I will love the controller, xbox live, and ea access. s***, I think I just sealed the deal for myself. Hope I can get a good deal in the next few months.
All I can say is I've enjoyed the console. They've had a ton of software updates that have really made the OS a strength of the console. If you like the exclusives that have come out or will be coming, there is nothing about the console that is going to make you regret the experience.
I do use the XB1 for Netflix, Amazon, Youtube, and Twitch often. I like that if I'm watching TV, I can switch to any of those streaming services without picking up a controller that is probably sitting on a the charging stand. Whether I launch the app with my voice or navigate via my Harmony remote, I use the remote to navigate their interfaces, as well as play, pause, etc. And if I have the remote, I usually just use it to play and pause. But it is nice that my wife or daughter can pause or mute it while we are watching, too.
I can't compare the social aspect to the PS4, because I have never messed with that part of the console. But the activity feed is a huge bonus now. You get a stream of what achievements your friends are unlocking, as well as any clips they share. If I use Record That, it automatically records the last 30 seconds and posts it to my feed. It's pretty cool to score a goal, have a great play in Madden, or finally beat a map in Trials, and share it right away. Better, people can "Like" it and comment on it. Sometimes it is just fun, sometimes they are questions about games. It's a huge improvement over the line of 360 avatars that show you what everyone is playing currently.
