I remember the first trailer I saw a few years ago looked really cool but the moment they showed that E3 trailer with Ellen Page shooting guys in Iraq/MiddleEastCountryistan I knew the game's story was a one-way ticket to crazy town.

Battlestations: Midway and Battlestations: Pacific are on sale for $5 each for xbox live gold members (Games on Demand) until 10/21.

I enjoyed the first ones (Midway) somewhat unique naval/aerial gameplay, so I may get Pacific.

No, it's not, particularly for that price. You may have to get used to hitting the ball diagonally in tournament settings but with the extra courses, you got a great deal.
