Don:

I'm teetering toward unlikely for the race tonight. Work has piled up taller than the Space Needle, with the MotoGP race next weekend at Indy.

Sorry. Hope you cats have a good race.

That was an absolute riot, Don. Thanks man.

Even with only 3 of us, there was enough carnage, side by side racing, and fun to make it worthwhile

Yeah, it was fun, despite all the carnage I caused. Sorry again for causing incidents in both races. I'd like to blame the wrecks on my poor setup ergonomics, but I'm sure it's just lack of skill. But it's still fun. Thanks again Don for setting up the league. See you next week.

Yep, I will call that a successful start to the season! No worries Joe, we had some fun racing going in both events, particularly when Terry kept waiting up for us. ;) Brought back some fond memories. Remember, this league is just supposed to be pick and play type fun so don't sweat the mistakes. I think I drove off track every time I saw Terry in my rear view mirror. I really like that Cadillac, it is a fun drive.

Mix, don't sweat the wrecks. That's why it's fun racing with people we know instead of randoms who are going to fly off the handle if they get hit. I know you, and I know you don't mean to do it, so it's just part of racing. It actually made that second race a bit more fun. iRacing isn't PGR or something where it's easy to keep control of the vehicle, and those 2 tracks in particular last night were tough. The oval had a pretty funky groove where you'd have to hit the line higher than you'd think you would, and if you go too low it's really easy to spin out with too much power. Mosport had so many crazy ass elevation changes, I was tripping out on that track. Right where you spun out is where I was barely hanging onto the car every lap, it seemed.

So I wouldn't worry about it. It's all in fun, and it certainly didn't tick us off. For me personally, It was just fun to be out on the virtual track again.

The new tire model turned the SRF's from diabolical sh*tboxes into one of the most fun cars to drive in iRacing. Bummed I missed it!

Yep, last night was a lot of fun.

On a side note, my daughter is 15 and about to get her driver's permit. My wife asked if my steering wheel / pedals had a clutch to help her learn to drive our manual transmission Lancer. :o There's my opening to finally replace my old Logitech MOMO with a G27. Winning!

The srf's are a hoot, but its hard to tell the edge in them. When I think I'm losing it I'm fine, when I think I've caught it I'm spinning. Still some fun racing last night though!

Running a couple of times on the new account got me the itch bad enough to re-up my main sub, so I'll likely join up as "myself" and run the remaining 4 weeks.

Terry, I have invited your "old account" to become a member. In doing so I also noticed that a certain Mr. Arnold Sribhen (aka neckthai)
had accpeted my invitation to join the DSP Poker Night League. Don't know if he will be there tonight, but it would be cool to see him out on the track.

Also, if any of you are running custom paint jobs, post a link to them, or email them to me and I will compile them in a place where we can all download them for League use. If not, make sure you have some kind of a paint scheme selected within the game, otherwise we see a basic white car during the race. Thanks.

PS - It's not too late for anyone else to join. The 3 month free deal listed at the top of this thread is still in effect.

My iRacing is completely jacked up with the latest update. First the sim failed to launch. Now I can't enter any sessions. I'm going to need to uninstall and reinstall.

Sorry. Have fun racing tonight. Hopefully I'll get this sorted by next week.
