Props to Greece though for getting this far. Salpangidis had a good tournament.
Had to work and missed it.
I am very proud of them. They did quite well making it out of group play with what they have....Then playing at 1-1 passed the 60th minute without their guy against those guys isnt so bad at all.
The win over Russia was probably their biggest outside of EURO 2004
Balotelli is getting his chances, sooner or later he is going to convert. Despite Italy's ball possession, Welbeck had the most clear scoring chance. Johnson also had a good chance. Forza Italia!

Forza 4!
The first twenty minutes were great fun after that not as much. England packing it in and hoping for the counter. Good luck to them. Here is hoping that Italy score first.
Actually I think Greece showed more ability to maintain possession and greater tactical awareness. Hodgson probably had more talent with Switzerland at USA 94 LOL!

Plus Greece have won a tournament in the last 40 years.

I think England need to outsource player development - get talented youngsters into academies in France, Italy, Germany - hell anywhere other than England.
Few sides show such tactical cluelessness or appear to lack the capability of stringing more than 2 passes together before losing it. Good god they don't even appear to be familiar with the triangle concept.

Im ok with Young on his recenct form even though he was crap. Henderson, yep your right , shouldnt even be in the Liverpool squad never mind an England squad.
Between him and Scott Parker well, accurate passing
Uncle Roy did better with this squad than I expected. With its injuries and lack of talent up front, I expected England to finish second in its group, at best.

Who the f*** decided it was a good thing to put Ballack in an analyst's seat? He gets more unintelligible as the tournament progresses. Thank goodness for a shootout on this occasion. Some matches just need to end.
