Maybe I am dense but how exactly does that fix the squad joining problems? Also this is a curious statement
First, we need to look at how joining with Squads and Platoons affects the balance of teams. Initially, servers are commanded to equal out each side, so joining with friends can impact that balance while joining with Platoons further hinders this.
Is there a way to join with Platoons I don't know about?

The patch also helped Rob and I dominate in our matches last night. :D

FIFA, by dominate I meant be in the top 3 on a really crappy team. :D

I really hope that when there is a map pack they reduce the frequency of Operation Metro or take it out completely. I like having a close-quarters map as a change of pace, but if you spawn in the subway tunnel you are at a huge disadvantage. It's very difficult to capture B when you have to come up the escalators or side stairs, and if a team captures C they can really lock it down.

Does anyone know if I were to play on both the PS3 and 360 using the same email address for both consoles if my scores would accumulate cross platform? It did in Fifa.

It scares the bejeezus out of my because it means a higher % of teenager douchebags, cheats and a-holes will remain playing BF.

Yeah, I know, but at least people know quality when they see it-even if they can't play it worth a s***...lol

I wouldn't read anything into it really. It is the height of fashion on the internet to rail on MW3. 'omg it sux and has 3 yr old grafx'. For evidence of this, on meta critic MW3 has a user score of 3.3 whereas BF has 7.5 (professional scores are 89 to 84 for MW).

The bottom line is that MW3 is still outselling BF3 by a wide margin, and in user participation on XBL, the top 5 last week looked like this;
1 MW3
2 Black Ops
3 BF3
4 MW2
5 Gears 3

Not much has changed, for better or worse.

Well, from a decidedly non fanboy POV (I own and play both) BF is the clear choice for nearly every category of shooter other than ADD-sugar-rocket-fuel-Monster Energy drink-swilling 13 year olds who like to feel all grown up without having to think...in that case, COD is just what the doctor ordered...lol

MW3 has actually doubled it in sales. Having said that it's because every kid thinks they want MW3 and the parents buy it for them. Most people I know who own both don't even consider MW3 in the same league as BF3.

It will take a few more years of rehashing the same game but Activision will kill MW popularity, they do it to every franchise. Activision = Alien's from Independence Day.

It will not. You will have 2 separate soldiers. It'll have the particular system logo next to the active soldier in the battle log.

Diablo, we missed you buddy. It was a mixed bag. Fun as always.. Looking at the battlelog there was no consistency in our results. We did have one match that got down to a score of 2-1. Crazy ending!

Doubt i'll be on tonight. Most likely gonna head out with my future wife and do some black friday shopping.

Just saw this on Battlefield 3's Twitter feed....
Today's Xbox 360 #BF3 patch is from Microsoft. Update will not change anything in-game. Our BF3 patch for 360 & PS3 at a later date.

I'd like to request a patch for our friend Rob... One that automatically kills people who Halo jump :)

Great to be back with you cats tonight, but I had no idea what I was doing. Plus my mike was turned off, which probably was a blessing.

The headsets on the original Xbox had no on-off switch! Plus the whole party concept and general Xbox Dashboard navigation remain a bit daunting since it's my first night. I'll figure it out!

There is a definite learning curve with Bf3. Hell I'm a level 17 and still feel overwhelmed a lot of the time. It's a ton of fun when your team/squad works together. Rob/Teal/Fifa and I had a round about a week ago where we were in a squad and running from point to point communicating like champs. It really is a ball when team work is flowing.
