Been busy the last few nights and it looks like I missed some great battles with the boys. Damnit! I'll be on tonight if anyone is around.

Fellas.. this crossed my mind this morning. I've never tried Squad Rush and am wondering if this would slow the game down a bit and lend itself to being a bit more tactical. Fewer people, smaller map, one objective. Basically it's 4 on 4. As much as i'm not a fan of rush, this sounds somewhat interesting.

It blows me away that some of you guys don't like Rush mode.

I like Rush fine. I'm open to playing it anytime. And squad rush sounds like fun, but if there's only one objective, it sounds like it'd be MORE hectic and campy, not less. Heck, let's find out.

Just played a game of squad rush.. Having a single point to attack defend reminds me a lot of Blind Siege in Ghost Recon. The pace was slower and for most of the match it was 3 on 3 before the other team added a fourth. 2 dsp squads facing off once a week would be pretty sweet!

For me it's always felt like chaos. I recall playing one enjoyable round of Rush in my life and that was only because I revived a ton of my teammates and took home a pile of points.

It also seems if rush mode is more gun on gun encounters, something most of us admit does not work to our favor ;)

Rush is my preferred mode, but I like to mix it up too. I just tried some Squad DM for the first time and thought it was kind of fun. It would be ideal with a few friends I think, as a few coordinating friends against everybody else.

Also trying the AA-91, though for the moment I like the Scar and 416 with holo, foregrip and silencer.

Interesting.. I find Conquest to be the chaos that you describe. But I like it in small bursts.

I think Rush requires more teamwork than Conquest. In Conquest, you can play with randoms and do okay if you're not with a bunch of recon pussies. Because Rush requires someone to go to a very specific target, it requires more of a delegation of roles. So I like Rush, but only when there are other DSPers on my team.

There are also more vehicle opportunities in Conquest. I tend to stay away from flying unless my team is way ahead of hopelessly behind, but I do have a dream of registering a kill in a jet some day.

One of my best rounds with BF3 was a game of Rush on the Caspian Map. It was very intense and fun. I'm always up for some Rush....or Conquest :)

Exactly. I won't play Rush with randoms much, but it's still my preferred mode.

Hardcore mode!! That's all we played on BF:BC2.
How nice it is to be able to take a guy down with one well placed shot. The scoreboard looks a lot different as well. Nobody had over
10 kills. Add friendly fire and the game feels noticeably different.. For the better.

HC Mode is definitely a rush. I remember jumping into a game of BFBC2 with you and not knowing you were in HC Mode. Bit of an eye opener! I'm down for anything in BF. Love it.

2 Questions...

1. Anyone know if the Karkand pack will include Rush modes?

2. Is there a Hardcore mode in BF3?

Couldn't agree more! I can't believe I played for almost a month in the standard mode after only playing HC in BF:BC2.
