Re: Forza 4
does anyone expect this version of Forza to actually have an A.I. (for other cars on the track) ?
or is this already a foregone futility?
for the record: i hate GT and preferred Forza (original Xbox)

We need to find Vinny a 360 deal

Re: Forza 4
The AI may not be great and it is far from perfect but it does exist. It is nice to feel like you are actually racing . Again its not like racing against Terry, think of it as more like racing against me.

Re: Forza 4
Just like F1 2011...I just like cruising around and trying to beat the ghost cars. This game is legit.

Re: Forza 4
Raced with Mix last night, doing some of the LeMans-type screamers. Wow. What an adrenaline rush! We went from those to Vipers and the like. Uh, those don't stick to the ground like the LeMans cars...lol. Spent most of my time in the grass and sand...

Sweet...and I got an achievement for joining.

Re: Forza 4
Thanks! The only thing I had time to do last night was install, but I look forward to playing the game.DChaps wrote:Yes, I just started one. Digital Sportspage, code DSPR. I have sent you an invite, along with db, leebo, and mix.XXXIV wrote:Have we started a club yet?
$20 gaming coupon with purchase at Kmart this week for anyone interested. I've been to Kmart more in the past 6 weeks than in the prior 20 years combined but I bought Madden, NBA, NHL, FIFA, and now Forza all for $40 each.

Re: Forza 4
Invite me as well if you could, Don. I should get my copy from amazon in a few days.
Re: Forza 4
I think for me to be able to invite you into the DSP Club, you have to have installed/played the game, been logged into Xbox Live, and be on my friends list. If I don't have you on my friends list, post your gamertag here and I will add (sorry I am lazy).
I love the challenges and the Rivals mode. As I was just getting ready to shut the game down I get an "email" that XXXIV has just beaten my time on the Lotus/Top Gear Challenge, so I went back in to have another go. Pretty cool.
By the way, if you are a Top Gear UK fan you will love what they have done with FM4. For me it adds so much into the career mode to here Clarkson announcing everything. The presentation is just really cool. Nothing fancy, but way better than previous Forza's.
Question on career mode (world tour or whatever): I have a custom difficulty setting, all assists off but the racing line, and I am using manual shifting, but with no clutch. At least through the first several races the AI is ridiculously easy to beat and this is with no customizing my car or tuning/setups. Is there a different setting to make the AI harder, or do I just need to get to a more competitive level? I need to go back and verify this, but I thought in FM3 the AI strength was a separate setting that also increased your points bonus depending on what level you had it set.

When I joined the club it sent me one saying you had beaten mine so I went back and beat yours. So I guess now I have to go back and try again???DChaps wrote: I love the challenges and the Rivals mode. I think when you just race the events you can set the level of the AI. During the world tour I think the game does it on its own. I m not sure though....
Re: Forza 4
I read in a review that the AI is supposed to adjust as you go. But it starts out stupid-easy to beat for the first half of the career.
Oh, and my tag is "Rockjaw McGraw".

Well, yeah...but everyone already knows THAT, especially in driving games...dbdynsty25 wrote: No...just a hinderance and a roadblock.

Re: Forza 4
I successfully resisted the Gears 3 hype here, but now I'm feeling lured to this game.
I had Forza 3 but never played it. Just got bored so quick, and if I recall I found medium AI too slow (beat them every time), but hard AI nigh impossible to get higher than third.
The demo seemed fun, with more cars on track, and racey AI with several different levels.
But are people finding enough truly new here?

Three words: Top Gear LicenseNaples39 wrote:But are people finding enough truly new here?
Absolutely. However, a lot is more of the same, but you're not shoehorned into specific races...you can attack the career mode in any car you want and the competition scales up with you. It's really a nice change of pace from the typical Forza formula.
Re: Forza 4
Is this game playable online without getting run off the road by 12 year olds?

Re: Forza 4
Or 43 year-olds? Because if I was playing, it would be Demolition Derby, and I would be trying to avoid making contact.Naples39 wrote:Is this game playable online without getting run off the road by 12 year olds?
