I don't have the passionate hate for Bettman that some others do, but this made me throw up in my mouth a little;
Bettman makes $7.5 million per year

I found the last line was even more nauseating.

Colin Campbell earned $1.5 million.

Its not surprising. The NHL owners or board of governors or whatever the f*** douchebags call themselves are perfectly happy with making what they make. As long as they dont see red on their bottom lines it will be the status quo head shots for all....They have no interest in offending what they consider their fanbase.....The moron.

Holy crap. I didn't realize commishes made that kind of money. Selig is pulling in 18 mil? LMAO! I agree about Campbell. I mean wtf, 1.5 mil for the job he does? It would be too much even if he did it competently, which he doesn't do obviously. Hell I'd go from arena to arena and get booed and bobble my head for 7.5 mil. I would even talk to the media and not sound like an ignorant blathering d-bag and not charge any extra.

A quote only his mommy or another weasel would love.

The Pens Flyers games will be entertaining months in advance this year.

Shea Weber made out well today in arbitration after the Preds tried to lowball him. $7.5 million for a one-year deal is not bad at all. That barely puts the Preds over the cap floor lol.

Troublemaker Sean Avery was arrested for police battery at a recent party and thrown in jail for a few hours where he was released later on bail. Rangers to investigate his latest faux pas.

Wade Belak was found dead in his condo in Toronto. First it was the Boogie man, then Rypien, now Belak. What's going on in this offseason?

Marc Savard's career probably is over:

http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=374868

Another high-profile casualty of the epidemic of head shots in the NHL. When will Bettman wake up and ban all blows to the head?

This could be a sad portent for Crosby.

With all the terribleness of hockey news this offseason, something mildly humorous; apparently Byfuglien was arrested for boating under the influence and his weight was listed at 286. His playing weight last year was 245.

The worst news yet of a terrible offseason; a Lokomotiv Yaroslavl charter plane has crashed killing 36 people. Not much info out there, but FWIW, former NHLers Pavol Demitra, Karel Rachunek, Ruslan Salei, Karlis Skrastins, and Josef Vasicek are on their roster, and Brad McCrimmon is their coach.

EDIT: One report says their entire roster plus 4 youth players were on the plane. 1 to 3 survivors being reported. Unbelievably terrible.

Lousy, lousy news to start the day. Read about it at The Hockey News. Ugh.

How dare the Jets come back into existence and then NOT bring out the old school unis. Not a fan of the new sweaters at all.

Like Canada has an air force fleet that doesn't have US Flags all over it. :)

Just cannot believe an entire professional hockey team was killed, that is just unreal. RIP to former Blues Pavol Demitra and Igor Korolev. Demitra was possibly the most underrated St. Louis Blue of all time.

RIP

I loved Pavel Demitra when he was on the Blues - one of Keenan's good moves.
