Only one game on default AA, but I think I'd rather control my own speed bursts.. which I'll change that setting.. and I'm seeing goofy glitches here and there.

Need more time for sure.. but I didn't even a sack against Eastern Michigan. :o

I liked NCAA 10 also but I really like this years version. It took some time to get use to not holding the R button so maybe it may take you some time too. I like not pressing R because I can now concentrate more on finding the holes etc...

Throws to the TE have been somewhat money for me, but I'm playing on AA so maybe need to up the difficulty.

I like the game so far, but but I still think Madden 10 is better because of the game speed and full package of that game. Can't wait for Madden 11 - but this game is good.

I like NCAA 09 and played it last night and had a fun time but i'm really looking forward to Madden 11 and hope they add what's in NCAA 11 and use it in Madden 11.

Online Dynasty stuff is actually pretty sweet. Now it automatically uploads 5 photos at the end of a game and builds a caption around them. So you can click on your story and edit it, then save the changes.

Videos look like you have to manually upload them, though.

This game is amazing, kind of makes you wonder how they could drop the ball on Madden and deliver this.

Grow up, the attitude isn't needed.
Neither is the constant bitching about seemingly every stinking game that ever comes down the pipe...but you find a way to do it anyway. Seriously, JRod...is there a game on earth you actually don't find faults with?

So you've found a perfect game. I'd like to know what the name of that game is.

What exactly are we allowed to talk about Teal? Can we point out gameplay flaws. Can we say a game is good but has flaws. f*** me, it's not like I got the game for free. There's a reason why no one posts anymore, you have the criticism police, like yourself, where if you point out you don't like something they say of you criticize everything.

I didn't say NCAA was horrible. I didn't complain about the jerseys not getting dirty and that means I'm not going to by the game. I said, I thought the locomotion or whatever it's called is a gimmick. That's my opinion and I posted why. If you want to talk about it then debate on merit not making backhanded comments, which Danimal did. I have no problem if someone calls someone else's B.S. out but back it up with facts or things you see in the game.

It's like some people on this board are not able to have two opposing thoughts about a game at once. You can criticize parts of a game, you can even not like parts of a game and still like it or think it's good. Will gushing over the parts I like, make it more palatable for you and okay for me to criticize it?

You didn't really need to chime in here. Now if you are seeing something different with locomotion fine, then bring that up but don't bring up the personal s***, trying to say I only bring up the negative in games. I bring up the things that bother me. Is that allowed?

I don't see it as a problem and you did explain yourself as to why you think locomotion is a gimmick. The problem is there's no one from EA that can respond to either backup or refute your claim, so you can expect those who see the game differently than you do, to tee off on you.

Like I said in another post I treat these as just entertainment and nothing more which is why I enjoyed Madden 10 so much last year. Whether the game had bugs or features/gimmicks it was fun to play. I hope M11 is as fun as last year. I bit on the $40 trade in towards M11 at Gamestop awhile back so I can't play it again.

I'm very impressed so far after a couple games. I feel like the past few years I've just been trying to convince myself to like the game ("these graphics don't suck too bad", "1 or 2 defensive TDs a game is bearable", "at least QB passes are offline once in awhile", etc.), but last night I actually enjoyed pretty much every minute without trying to talk myself into it. I played two entirey believable, fun to control, good looking, and incredibly fun games. I was particularly impressed with the QB reactions in the pocket and TONS of new animations throughout the game.

I've only played the demo and can't comment at all on gameplay of the retail game, but I do think the DLC that EA had available on launch day is ridiculous (and not in a good way). This is what went up in the PSN store yesterday:

# NCAA Football 11 – NCAA Power Pack ($29.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – Pipeline State Addition ($1.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – Recruiting Advisor ($1.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – Recruiting Reports ($1.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – School Pitches Improvement ($1.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – Toughest Places To Play Boost ($1.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – Unlock All Promises ($1.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – 5 Star Defensive Back ($0.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – 5 Star Defensive Line ($0.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – 5 Star Linebacker ($0.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – 5 Star Quarterback ($1.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – 5 Star Receiver ($0.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – 5 Star Running Back ($0.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – All 5 Star Recruits ($5.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – All Dynasty Time Saver ($11.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – Coaching Seminar ($1.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – Commish Of 3 Online Dynasties ($9.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – Commish Of 5 Online Dynasties ($14.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – Max TeamBuilder Slot ($9.99)
# NCAA Football 11 – Maximum Player Training ($1.99)

Talk about your cash grabs. Can't be good for online play.

Why should I debate locomotion with you as you're choosing to narrow it's definition. Locomotion isn't all about tackling but that is what you choose to focus on, probably so you could bring up BB.

Go look up the word Locomotion it's about movement and interaction with objects. Sure tackling is a big part of that and I'm not going to say that NCAA tackling is better then BB because it is not.

But to call it a gimmick is pure BS. This game plays differently, the players interact differently. Running the ball, making cuts and turns and playing defense are totally different then past versions of the game.

Is it new? Nope. Should it of been here before now? Yep.

None of that makes it a gimmick.

But you're right BB has a better tackling engine, so you go enjoy your tackling engine and let us enjoy a football game.

Instead of picking fights, how about someone answers my questions about the play styles?

Awww....poor Matt. :)

Supposedly they have modeled all the different teams and their playbooks. You can really tell the difference when playing different style teams...hell, even the demo proves that with the 4 or so different types of offenses that they have. it's way more varied that it was previously, that's for sure.

You're right, I am poor. That's why I'm asking about the game and not already playing it ;)

It did seem from the demo that the number of formations in each playbook was toned down. From what I recall, the playbooks in '09 had too many formations per team, so you didn't notice as much of a difference when playing.

Do the teams call a game like they would in real life? Even with a run heavy playbook the CPU could still end up passing way too much. I guess I just to make sure that the whole "120 ways to play" has some meat to it and isn't just an advertising slogan.

Matt,

I've only played a few games, all of them though against spread offenses that hurry to the line (Mizzou, Notre Dame, and Michigan). But I did read someone played against Navy, who is predominantly a running team. The AI only threw 8 passes all game. Everything else was a run.

I'll play against a team this evening who is a run heavy team and let you know my findings.

I'm using the Ask Coach feature as I'm overwhelmed with all the formations and plays at this point. It seems to be working out well.

I've had a couple plays where I didn't have a man open on a pass play, and was able to run for a first down. That felt extremely rewarding.

Everyone seems to be having an easy time on AA, but not me. I've yet to win!

I adjusted all the sliders from 50 to 55 and finally saw some penalties. Three holding penalties in the first half and four in the second half. I've yet to see a pass interference penalty called yet. I've also seen one clipping penalty.

Really enjoying the game and the game play visuals look great!

It's definitely the best looking football game I've ever seen. The whole package is impressive as hell with the presentation. Oh but the jerseys don't get dirty. Forgot that part.

It would be nice if the jerseys got dirty, but really not a big deal imo. Maybe it can be patched like Madden was last year.

DB, I thought about playing Miami last night, but they seem to have a very strong team. I figured they would have blown my KU team out of the water. Maybe I'll see how I fair against them for a half. It must be fun to roll with them as they're back on the map big time in terms of potential.

They should be pretty good this year as they haven't lost many players from last years much improved team...so we'll see how it goes. Hopefully they can improve a little more this year as well. They are definitely deep.

How is the cpu running game? Are they averaging more than 2 yards a carry?

360...PS3 is garbage for sports games for some reason (except for the Show). :)

No, JRod, I haven't found the perfect game. But, then again, I'm not on an insatiable quest to find one, either; nor am I content with always accentuating the negative. Games are for entertainment purposes, and to be enjoyed...not picked apart incessantly.

But whatever; it's the MO, so by now I shouldn't be surprised...or annoyed, really. Do your thing.

Well, count me as one who think it looks pretty damn nice on the PS3. The crowd looks like a**, but the lighting and the player models look very good.

Just as long as they don't run into the men from UW again. I still have visions of Lance Kendricks and Johnny Clay running wild against the Canes in the bowl game. :D
The sing-along songs'll be our scriptures.
