Really? You can see the exact spot your ball will land in TrueAim? You can see the exact % you need to hit the ball so that you can pinpoint the landing spot? You know exactly how far the ball will roll after its carrying distance, which is all you are given?
While I will grant you that it is easier to keep a ball in play than it should, you can tune your clubs to decrease the sweet spot, and you will see far more shots go errant.
Yes, the commentary sucks. And yes, I turn it off within a week of having the game and it ceases to be an issue. Which golf game is an example of great commentary. Because I never heard it.
It would be better if EA would allow for us to use a pro in the career mode. But they don't, so you get to build up a golfer. I've got my golfer's attributes all in the 37-43 range right now. Actually, I have left control down a bit, to around 25. I'm having fun games, right now.
I can play on TrueAim, and it is a beast. I can play on Pro and hit the solid 260-290 yard drives. I can play on Beginner and rack up all of the XP I want.
Yes, it would be nice if you could just plug in ratings, and go. But EA is going to try and make you pay for that, which kind of sucks.
Instead, I actually just play the game, and have fun building my golfer up. I am actually kind of dreading my guy getting too good. Of course, if that becomes an issue for me, I can take those XP points off and store them for later. Then I can play at whatever level I want.
But seriously, if you can play TrueAim and think of it as only a new camera angle, it becomes kind of pointless to read your impressions (of the demo, no less).
