The Cards caught the Braves at the perfect time. They aren't as bad as they looked that week.tjung0831 wrote:No we get to play the Cubs, Reds, Pirates, and Astros too.dbdynsty25 wrote:Unfortunately you don't get to play the Braves every week. Dominic scored a dozen new Maxbats and 6 Twins tickets for three hours of hitting and putting up with an annoying reporter this morning.

Jack thats just plain awesome!!!
Dom's swing looks good. Kid interviews well too. You have to be one proud dad.
I'm happy Dom doesn't stammer or say "UH" in between sentences. He speaks so well.

Great piece, Jack-diggity. Don't know why I ventured into the MLB thread, but I'm glad I did!

DETROIT -- Armando Galarraga of the Detroit Tigers lost his bid for a perfect game Wednesday night with two outs in the ninth inning on a call that first base umpire Jim Joyce later admitted he blew.
First baseman Miguel Cabrera cleanly fielded Jason Donald's grounder to his right and made an accurate throw to Galarraga covering the bag. The ball was there in time, and all of Comerica Park was ready to celebrate the 3-0 win over Cleveland, until Joyce emphatically signaled safe.
The veteran ump regretted it.
"I just cost that kid a perfect game," Joyce said. "I thought he beat the throw. I was convinced he beat the throw, until I saw the replay."
Wow. As that was the last out, and it's clear on replay, they should just go back and call it an out and award the perfect game.
