I played on the PC last night for a while. I am much more effective in this game on the PC and the draw distances are much better as well. For whatever reason it is easier to pick up targets on the PC for me.

However from a pure MP stand point the 360 has the PC beat right now. Instant voice communication with no hassles, the ability to play with your friends. Until last night I could even see friends request through the PC.

On the flip side I've noticed a much more skilled player on the PC side, every random game I have played has been really good with team work and coordination.

Great game either way. How come no poker night this week?

We've been playing most every night anyway, and I didn't think to post until too late. HOGZ, Mix, Teal and I had a couple great games last night.

Started messing around in the menus today & found 2 very cool things (for those who didn't know): 1. there's "sound settings" for what kind of stereo system you have. The default is "hi fi", but there's a setting called "war tapes" that is completely insane. "Home Cinema" splits the difference. Unfortunately, there's no "wife is trying to read a book in the other room so turn that sh*t down" setting... A couple of videos:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cFgWKEYC2g

2. There's a "localized language" setting that basically makes the all the teams speak english (so u can understand what the hell they're screaming about).

Might be the best audio in a game ever.

Man, this game is just awesome. Was just on for a bit and had an absolute blast. It just keeps getting better the higher I rank up. Best FPS I have played in YEARS. Can't wait for another Poker Night!

Conquest on Laguna Presa is AMAZING! Enormously huge map with a nice vehicle/infantry blend. Teal and I played a game on it last night and as defenders we got pummeled all the way until the Last Stand base and then held on for dear life. A great, great game!

DANG, that was fun! I didn't realize that the new 'tweaked' maps were there until we hit that one, and it's a perfect map for Rush. That last stand was incredibly intense. A great way to round off the night, for sure.

I am pretty sure I know the map you are talking about because I was digging it last night. Got my highest single game score on that bad boy. Fun as hell. I'll be on tonight :)

It's much longer than the average map, so all the scores are high. Not to rain on your parade or anything. :)

The first couple of bases were a nightmare, as I couldn't even identify the approach routes taken by the attackers. That last stand base is a really easy to defend though, as the attacks are canalized very tightly. Great map.

Paying the price this a.m. when the kids got up early, though. :)

I can't believe we stuck around to finish off that last round. LOL

I was just glad that they didn't quit when it went down to 1 respawn ticket! lol

That was a ton of fun (last game aside, which was entertaining in a different way) we need to get a poker night with even more of us. Many thanks to Rob and Teal for showing me the ropes in Rush - had a blast!

Rob and I are the high priests of the church of Bad Company, I suppose. Not a bad thing to be proselytizing, to be honest! I kept waiting on you to come in and be the fourth, mix, but spooky took that honor after a bit, and we had good success.

Seems like there were two maps that they reconfigured for Rush. Haven't seen the other one, though...

The way I understand it is that they took a rush-only map & made it avail for conquest, and they took a conquest map & made it rush. This is one of the best shooters I've ever played. Good stuff.

AHH...that would explain why I haven't seen the other one yet. Conquest doesn't get played too much in my house... :)

I don't believe BC2 has an equal, in terms of MP. There are some things I really like about MW2, but I honestly haven't played that one since BC2 arrived, except forcing it into my machine a couple nights ago to see if I could still even play it. And, outside of the hardcore modes, I can't. The inmates are truly running the asylum over there now.

I can get a premium for trade in of MW2 at the moment, and I may just pull the trigger...especially considering how damned good Medal of Honor looks to be. If they actually bug test their MP, they could realistically take over completely from IW.
But from where I stand, DICE has already done that with BC2...

I agree completely, BC2 completely destroy MW. I enjoy MW1 a couple of years ago, but after about 1 month of heavy playing, I got sick of it and sold it. MW2, I love the single player and especially the missions, but the MP is just same old same old. I never feel like much strategy to the game. BC2, OTOH, is just full of ways you can take on your objectives.

One of the coolest thing my friend show me yesterday was sticking a bunch of C4's on the UAV and then fly it near the box and blow it up. He even manages to fly it back and do it again for the second objective (on the first 2 set of points on the desert map).

I traded in MW2 last night for BC2 and I am ecstatic that I did.

After playing online with my nephew for 2 hours last night, I enjoy it much more then MW2. I don't have to be a finger jockey to play....which makes it much more accessible for me.

The Rush mode was a blast and the maps that I played were exceptional.

We saw you online last night Piggy. Teal, Rob, Mix, Mac and I were on for a while. I did have a blast but I royally sucked last night. The first few games I was, I believe the term is, owned. I just couldn't get anything going. Sorry guys. I recently got the mortar upgrade so I was going nuts with it...even though I wasn't really killing anyone with it :) About 2 hours in my Xbox froze so I had to restart. Once I did that I tried to rejoin the boys...and did...but couldn't get in their squad. They killed me several times :D Oh well, I still had fun. I'll probably be on tonight again.

Despite both being modern FPS's, I don't feel like they're directly comparable. MW2 is all about tight spaces, small battle areas and instant gratification. BC2 is much more epic, with different scale to the battles, different drama because of the length of the game and the dynamics of the vehicle use.

It's not apples and oranges, but maybe mandarin oranges v. valencia? :)
