We keep Hickson and hopefully Z's back in thirty days. So basically we get Jamison for a draft pick. What's not to like?
After what the Tribe's dealt away the past few years, it's GREAT to be on the other side of one of these fire sales for a change! God bless the NBA and its salary cap structure!!!!
I'm so glad you just wrote Lebron's ticket out of town this summer. Way to jinx it. LOL. Will you still be saying "God bless the NBA" at that time?
I said "God bless the NBA and its salary cap structure." If he does leave, it's not going to have that much to do with the salary cap, since the Cavs can match and even offer a certain percentage more than any other team to keep him here, no matter how much cap room that team has cleared.
Sure, it would help to entice him if a team had a lot of space cleared under the cap, but since the Cavs could match their offer and even go a little higher, there would have to be another reason why he'd want to leave. For what those reasons could be, check with ESPN. They come up with a new one every other day.
The only thing I jinxed was posting about that trade while they were on a 13-game winning streak. Now they've lost three straight.
hopefully LeBron will remain where he is, and do for Cleveland, what Michael did for Chicago. It would be fitting.
as for the Knicks. Despite bein in NY, i really don't care what they do. Never been a fan. To me, no matter what they do this off-season the intelligent thing to do is reseve cap room for Chris Paul the following year. D'Antoni has proved what he can do with a top point guard

Yeah, that too. I was mostly referring to the fact that you brought up players like CC and Lee and how they had to get rid of them, but if you lose Lebron, you'll feel the same way regardless of why he left.

Yeah, you got that right. In fact, it'll be way worse than anyone the Tribe lost. But we're trying not to think about that now. Right now everyone's more worried about what's going to happen ON the court in June as opposed to what's going to happen OFF the court in July.
Some think that what happens in June will have a huge bearing on what happens in July.
Being a Hawks fan sure wears you down! They lose on Sunday to the Warriors after being up by almost 20 and then last night, they win in Utah for the first time in over 10 years. I wonder what team is going to show up for the playoffs this year?
I realize Minnesota is terrible, but no NBA team should be scoring 152 points on you in regulation. Phoenix can score...that's for sure. Finally getting healthy with LB and Dragic back...so it should be a good stretch run.
Cavs clinched their division last night. It's funny, I didn't even know who was in second place in our division, been so busy keeping tabs on Orlando's and the Lakers' records.
Why does the NBA even bother with divisions? Since all that matters is where you finish in the conference anyways, why not just have the two conferences and balance out the schedule accordingly?
Kiss of death for the Cavs last night, on Jay Leno's show Charles Barkely picked the Cavs to win it all. With his gambling record I'd feel better if he liked someone else.
Like Cavs fans and their Lebron fear...I'm terrified that Amare leaves this summer. It just wouldn't be the same not being able to see plays like this:
Can't wait for the playoffs to start. I hope the Hawks can take the #3 spot in the East so they won't be staring down King James until the 3rd round (if they make it that far). Chicago has to beat Boston Tues nite!
dbdynsty25 wrote:If I had to pick the most improved team...Oklahoma. Look out for these guys, they will make the playoffs this year.
I'm getting good at picking most improved teams. LOL.
Suns opening @ home as the #3 seed in the west. Who would have thought? Most "experts" had them barely making or missing the playoffs completely. Now they get the banged up Blazers in the first round. Gotta like the odds though if healthy Portland is a tough tough matchup for Phoenix.
Oh, and congrats to my bro in law...Logan's Run for winning the Fantasy Hoops league...edging me out by .5 points...I literally was tied with him at halftime of the Suns/Utah game and somehow lost out on .5 points because of f'n free throw percentage. Son of a...
