HUH? Look fine to me.
The pic with #36 of Baltimore batting looked a bit much.

The new Twins stadium is enough to finally push me into a day 1 purchase. Playing as the Twins will give me a nice break from the Brewers and the NL. I could not stand playing as or against them in past games due to the dome.

God I hated going to games there. I've been showing up at my wife's office for lunch a lot more lately. Her office is on the 7th floor of the Butler Bldg and faces the new park. I can see the whole infield from her window. Looks fantastic!

Wow, those old ballparks look gorgeous! It's kinda weird seeing them in color. I guess I never realized the seats at the Polo Grounds were red. Very cool.

That's exciting, isn't it? I remember the winter before Jacobs Field opened, I'd walk down there on my lunch hour all the time, just to see how things were going. I remember thinking they were never going to be ready by Opening Day. I was wrong. :D

Hahaha...I thought the same thing. Had no idea what these fields "really" looked like. It's definitely weird to see them in color.

In the All-Star Baseball series on the PS2...weren't their old historic fields in B&W when you played in them? I seem to remember that for some reason. Maybe not.

DB: one version of All-Star baseball had played, had classic stadiums in color. Don't know which version, it may have even been N64. Able to remember the Polo Ground park

ASB '04 or '05 had some really good classic stadiums... I stuck my expansion team in one of them.

Yes it is. I went to the opening of "The Jake" in 94 with my father-in law. Tribe beat the Mariners and Joey Belle showed up at a party I attended that night. Good start to the season.......then the strike hit. Thankfully The Show has no labor strikes.

this is one of the few additions MLB The Show needs. And incremental cold weather effects/rain delays

That is a great sign. The O-Dog is a hell of a clubhouse guy and a gold glove caliber 2B. It puzzles me why no team has given him a multi year deal.

It's been a decent off season for the Twins. I'm glad they took a pass on Washburn and went after O-Dog

His defensive range has diminished exponentially according to the defensive range factor. From 2005 (5.84 leading league) to 2009 (4.84 middle of the pack) it has been going down each year. He clearly isn't the defensive player he used to be. Sure, he'll hit you .280 to .300 but he won't drive in runs and he won't steal bases. His value just isn't very high anymore. That's why he didn't get a multi-year deal.

Spot on Scott. That being said he's an improvement over the 4 Million dollar man Punto. The jury is still out on Alexi Casilla so hopefully this one year deal works out. I hear they might move Casilla. I hope that's not the case. When I get The Show I'm going to do a Reds and Twins franchise. First person I'm cutting is Punto and Dom is starting at 3b

He has enough value for a multi. He has never been a big threat on the bases. Yes his range has diminished but he can still pick it. His offense is still solid and he is a great clubhouse presence. You can't tell me he's not worth at least a 2 year deal with some team.

Umm...I can do exactly that, and there are 30 MLB GMs that obviously agree with me. :)

Touche' I guess I should have stated it as IMO, he is worth a multi year contract. My point is that there are several 2B out there that are not as solid a player and presence in the clubhouse that have gotten better deals.

viewing this video, i notice no meaningful differences between this and an actual game.

8O Wow this game just keeps widening the gap between it and MLB2K. I love how the AI movement is independent of each other. I love how you can see the on deck batter move the bat around while the guy is up at the plate as well as the 2B ump moving around.

Damn this game keeps getter better and better. Btw i'm in the minority, I haven't tired of the commentary yet. Vandy still sounds great albeit more low key than Gary Thorne.
