I refuse to get mad about last night's game, because the Dolphins had such spectacular uniforms on. Orange! Sparkley helmets! I had flashbacks of our grade school trip to see Starlight Express. Stick with those, Miami.

Also I took some strange comfort seeing the real life Jets as flummoxed by the Miami offense as my Madden team has been with Jared's squad.

I believe the Dolphins are now 4-0 in those creamsicle uniforms. One thing that became pretty obvious from last nights game. When Rex Ryan shut down the wildcat twice last year it became apparaent he did it with the nasty Ravens D along with their playmakers rather than on Ryan's coaching.

I still thought the Jets would beat the Dolphins and boy sometimes I just love being wrong. Mark Sanchez is a playmaker for sure and a Sanchez - Edwards combo is going to give teams fits for years to come. Good pickup for the Jets in getting Edwards.

I don't want to predict the next Jets v Dolphins matchup. I'll leave that up to db.

Those helmets ARE their helmets unfortunately, even with their standard , white, teal and coral outfits. Not quite sure why they thought it would be a good idea to add that sparkle effect. Yuck.

And they are now 3-0 in the orange unis.

And I'm not sure Sanchez really was ALL that good last night. After all, he did have a pretty paltry 50% completion percentage, a 87.5 rating and only 172 yards. I mean, he completely MISSED quite a few receivers. Overthrowing, throwing behind people...I wasn't all that impressed. The throw to Clowney and the 2nd TD (it really was a TD, not sure why they said he was down) to Braylon were both outstanding throws tho.

Yeah, I haven't seen Braylon play that well in a long time. I was so disgusted after that TD I had to change the channel, only to see Cliff Lee getting doused with champagne.

It really sucks being a Cleveland fan some times. :(

I dont understand how the Dolphins can look so good against the Jets and next week they'll probably lose to Detroit? Anyone who bets on a Miami/Jets game has got to have their head examined.

As a Jets fan, I was happy to see Edwards jump in and look so good so quickly. Sanchez did great in his first big Mon nite game and he and Edwards will be a force for a while, hopefully. The Jets defense let them down and Ricky Williams looked like his old self. Was a very entertaining game to watch and I hope the Jets can rebound next week. They sure have the most talented squad they have had in many years.

Obviously that's the first Miami game you've seen. Who have they looked bad against? They had Indy beat, but Peyton went Peyton on them. They were in both the Atlanta game and the San Diego game until huge turnovers in the 4th quarters. Last year Miami got the breaks, this year they haven't. They are still a well coached team and can beat anyone.

And yeah...me predicting the exact outcome means I need my head examined? I know you weren't talking to me, but it's easy to see how good the Dolphins are and how "not quite as good as everyone made them out to be" Jets are. Most didn't give the Dolphins a shot just because of their 1-3 record. Sanchez was mediocre last night. Some really nice throws and some really bad throws. He made more mistakes than Henne did, that's all there is to it. It's gonna be a 3 way battle for the division, that's for damn sure.

They aren't even in the same stratosphere as the Lions, Bills, Chiefs, Rams, etc. even though their record was terrible. That's what playing the hardest schedule in the league gets ya sometimes.

I really wish they didn't spread the byes out the way they do. I'd rather just have a break week between weeks 8 and 10, like an all-star break minus the game.

I totally agree despite the Bears bye week coming at a very opportune time this year with all of their injuries. Unfortunately I get why they don't want to do this. At the very least I think they should cut the amount of bye weeks in half and have 8 teams on bye each week instead of 4.

Actually that's when they should play the Pro Bowl and do a two week break instead. It'll let all the teams take a break and heal and allow for the All-Star/Pro Bowl game to take place.

No team would ever let that happen. Another football game that doesn't count in the middle of the year. No f'n way in hell that happens. None of the stars would play for fear of injury.

I agree, and I think the Pro Bowl is no longer worth holding. The honor of being selected is enough. They don't need to play the game.

It would be nice if they had the bye week during the World Series, but that won't happen because the NFL won't give up a week of viewership just to give its teams a week off. But I could see them doing an AFC and NFC bye week. I just hate how the byes drag on, and they are especially brutal for fantasy football.

They do it for money.

They fund the NFLPA pension with the proceeds.

Yeah the game isn't worth watching.

If you had entire NFC or AFC bye weeks, then imagine how brutal fantasy would be that week.

Wildcat! Wildcat!

Miami is a very good team this year...essentially what DB said about them not catching breaks this year. They've also got the toughest schedule in the NFL this year. And the offense, without any real wide receivers, is very good. I'm mainly worried about the secondary, which has looked atrocious at times.

Fantasy seasons would have to pause for two weeks. That would kind of suck, but better than having a month where you're juggling lineups because of bye weeks.

But THAT is the point of fantasy...having to actually think about what you're doing. That's the reason I HATE 10 team football leagues. Too many studs. I run a 14-16 team league each year and it's absolutely fantastic. You really gotta earn your trophy at the end.

My comment was because when the Jets and Fins play, you can throw the records out the window. They always play each other tough and this makes it a very hard game to handicap or bet on....very unpredictable.
Even in year's past when the Jets were bad and the Fins good....the Jets always made it into a close game.

I agree the Dolphins are better than they appeared and the Jets are not as good as they appeared, but I still say the Jets finnish with a better record. I am a Jets fan and even I was getting tired of all the praise that
Gruden kept heaping on them and the coaching staff.
