I ran into a problem with my FA releases. Here's the cuts I have made:

HB Mike Hart (69 OVR)
LT Corey Hilliard (66 OVR)

Here's the cuts I want to make but can't:
K Adam Vinatieri (81 OVR)
FB Gijon Robinson (73 OVR)

It won't let me cut these two because my roster would not have enough starters. I don't have access to the depth chart to plug players in to release them either.

What should we do? I really don't want to have to make different choices. I plan on drafting or signing a FA kicker and converting a TE to FB. Can I just release these 2 guys as soon as Madden will let me?

I don't think Madden will let you convert a position. I wanted to do that with Jason Taylor, and I couldn't figure out how to do it...does anyone know?

Do we not have a rule that your FA releases can't be kickers? That's surprising. I haven't seen that allowed before, because it makes the cuts so easy. Picking up specialists is so easy that none of the leagues I've been in allow you to "count" them among your required FA releases.
