City fans haven't ignored the fact that bananas were among the food items thrown at Adebayor after he ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of them. I've seen it talked about in numerous places.
took a look at the replay and it certainly doesn't look like he kicked him in the face. At the worst he stepped on this hand, and given than Persie tried to take him out from behind studs up I shouldn't think there's any complaint.

Tackle attempt like that really deserves a kick in the nuts.

Best wishes,

Doug

I don't know, looked like Adebayor took a swipe at his head. I like Man City, but that was pretty classless. Reminded me of the Ronaldo move on Rooney in the WC.

The 'Big 4' have operated without class for years. City are just trying to fit in, (thought I'd much rather that they didn't try), though they have yet to hone their technique for crowding the referee and screaming at him (a la Arsenal, Man U and Chelsea), for committing fouls not adequate penalised (ditto) and for their managers constantly making comments about refereeing decisions and bringing the game into disrepute (all of them).

Not sure how a team that didn't have one penalty awarded against them at home for 11 years can moan about referees, but there you go.

I thought Adebayor deserved a minimum of two games suspension but three will do I guess. An accompanied fine would be fair as well, so no Derby for him. I can see City fans how complaining how can we possible score now this weekend.

The Scots Drunk has been attempting his laughable 'mind games' again, talking about City's 'soft start to the season'.

That'll be as opposed to those international superclubs Birmingham City, Burnley and Wigan, would it ? Maybe the gin goblins haven't reminded him of that yet.

Imagine how titles SAF would have won if he wasn't always pissed out of his mind. :)

The question was, I believe, about Ferguson. As Ferguson has not managed Manchester City, your response is irrelevant.

I'll let you know how it was when I get back from The Swamp.

The real question is why you make constant, unfunny references to the supposed drinking habits of the Manchester United manager when they do nothing but draw attention to the massive success imbalance between the two Manchester clubs and the bitterness that has created in City fans such as yourself.

I don't seem to recall you posting much about soccer before...you've obviously gone for the 'jump on the biggest bandwagon' option. Enjoy your choice of club to 'follow....I would say 'support' but that presupposes a level of involvement.

Are familiar with the English or soccer? :D

Honest to god this is all they do. Take the piss out of their rivals and are bitter about the other teams. They'll take the piss out of their own team at any time, even if they won something big. I wish I was lying but there's millions of Daves sitting across the pond. There's no such thing as lovable losers like the Cubs fan. They are surly losers but you know what, that's what relegation or the fear of it does to you.

Now I find it hilarious but that's me.

I guess, and this is just my perspective, that this is the difference between 'supporting a franchise' and 'following a club', with a few exceptions. As far as I am concerned, all players are just transient figures who are currently in the sacred sky blue and white. They can kiss the badge all they like, but we know that we'l be there long after they have moved on.

Spot on about relegation though....there's none of this 'F**k it, let's dump the payroll again a la Pittsburgh Pirates'...if you are dropping out of the Premier League, about 9.01am next Monday the bank manager will be on the blower, and there's no number 1 draft pick to con the faithful with.

Oh, and every single club in the league, right down to the depths, is fuelled primarily by competition, envy and hate - because that's the basics of sporting contests between localities, towns and cities in the UK since the 14th century, and old style 'ba games...beating your cross-town rivals was everything.

The only Premier League club I support is Blackburn, which is not much of a bandwagon. :) I started following them because of Ryan Nelsen. I'm also a big fan of Mark Hughes since he really stuck his neck out to get Nelsen a work permit, and because of the great success he had at Rovers on a limited budget.

Utter bullsh!t.

United's Welsh midget gets the winner 2 minutes after the game should have ended. That said, Mark Hughes shouldn't be surprised by the Old Trafford's flexible injury time policy since he played there for so many years.

Bloody exciting match though. What a performance by City's Welsh midget....loved the sight of Rio Ferdinand, hands on his knees, gasping for air after Bellamy ripped him for pace on that 3rd goal.

I'd have thought you could at least have found a photo of United's matchwinner

Sounds like a 3-3 draw would have been the fair result. Can't wait to see the highlights on FSC tonight.

From the description in this article it sounds like Bellamy was justified in what he did to some asshole pitch invader, but I don't know what Diouf's defense will be for making racist comments to a ball boy.

Credit to Giggs for finding Owen open, when most expected a cross.

Purists be damned. The lack of a public, official clock in football is laughable.
