Yeah, I love it. Before, I could throw the Curveball ALL DAY exactly where I wanted it. Today, I had a fatigued pitcher & made a pretty lazy curveball gesture and drilled the batter(with the bases loaded). Whoops...

I've also noticed the AI Pitchers seems to aim for the corners a lot more. Good stuff.

The patch is definitely a big improvement, zero fielding glitches so far, better cpu batter a.i.,etc.

I am on default All-Star and will probably only reduce cpu pitching in the strike zone and tone down contact a bit.
This is a pretty good effort from 2K and is actually a better game than NBA2K9.

I don't know.. I liked pitching before the patch and now it really seems like a crapshoot.. balls seem to randomly go where you don't want them, even if the meter is perfect.. not sure I like that.

The OF glitch is still there too. :(

It looks like the first baseman coming off the bag bug seems to be fixed.

Maybe it's because I play with the Cardinals or something, but this has never been an issue for me. The only time I had issues was when the throwing meter was in the red.

I play a bunch of exhibitions with different teams and have not had it happen once. I think it happens much more with people using the buttons, where I solely use the analog stick.

So with the patch out would anyone be interested in a small MLB 2K9 league?

Maye we start a little list of people interested, what teams and settings. We can pretty much set it up how we want if it is something we keep track of ourselves. Have no idea who the in game league thing works but not against using it.

Bdoughty - Pirates or Rangers (All Star, custom sliders if agreed upon by all, free to use any control option)

I'll take the Cubs. I'd go with All Star, unless there was a consensus on a custom slider set. Its probably going to be a few days with the new patch to get a good idea of how the patch is affecting levels and sliders. If I had to mess with any sliders at this point it would be the pitching gestures and hold timing sliders.

I was at a Gamestop yesterday (not the one I work at) and they had a used copy of 2K9 for the PS3.

Of course I picked it up since I got my discount plus the Edge Card discount also.

After the patch everything looks good. The fielders felt a little more responsive to me.

So now I'm back to having the 2 baseball games, although both on the PS3 now.

I'm using classic if you mean the 3 step pitching. I think the patch really affected it, in that you really to get the release point or you'll be all over the place. What I really like in what the patch did, is, every pitcher has different skill levels in executing their different pitches. I really struggle using the 2 seamer and the cutter with Carlos Zambrano if I don't nail them just right. Since those are the only fastballs that he has, to have success I have to use the breaking stuff.

Come on there have to be a few more of you out there. This will make for a good summer time filler until NCAA 10 hits.

I'd be willing to, if I could stay up late enough. I'm not good for any kind of late night except on Friday and Saturday nights. But if that can happen, I'll take the Bravos...

how would the league work?

I would be interested and I am sure my uncle would play too so long as he doesn't have to log on here too much or at all LOL

I would like the Reds unless he wants them.

Let me know how you think it will work then I will try to get him in. He will want to know details

Have yet to come up with that. After the UNC/Mich St game I am going to mess around with the online league feature to see what all is available. Otherwise we could just to a home and away league and keep track of all info within a thread.

I am open to anything so feel free and throw out your suggestions.

I would like to get in as the Cardinals, White Sox, or Padres if this is for XBOX.

Post patch is like night and day. Pitchers throw more balls, no 1B or outfield glitches. Higher pitch counts, more foul balls in my experience. All-Star or Legend levels play great "out of box".

I'm wondering about this league too...I'll even let that Mizzou guy have the Cardinals if he will join.

If we garner the interest sure. I was just suggesting it, if someone wants to run it by all means speak up. Out of town until early next week so I never had a chance to test out the online leagues (2ksports servers were down the night before I left).

I've been too busy playing to talk about it here. Love it post-patch, but I'm having major HR issues (as in 'I never hit them'). Other than the occasional Pujols bomb, I barely have any HR's.
