I think that alone says a lot about how much you are into serious racing games. Your comments above further confirm that suspicion.fletcher21 wrote:Figured I'd make a new thread, instead of trashing the current RacePro threads on here.. I really think this game is kinda like that ugly looking girl at the bar at closing time.. You can either have her or go home alone, and a lot of people have picked up RacePro due to the fact it's pretty much the ONLY game in town.. If this was a shooting game, people would rip the s*** out of it due to the other, higher quality games available. RacePro is the only sim in town when it comes to 360 gaming, so a lot of you sim guys picked it up. I feel it's important that this game sells well, or sim developers will quite possibly abandon the 360 and just focus on making computer sims. I played this game for a few hours (tjungin itand I was pretty let down.. If this game bombs, it could be the end of sim gaming on the 360. I took the game back to the store and got store credit. I'm a bit let down. I'm wondering if you guys who are playing it are truly satisfied, or if you're just playing it since it's better than Forza2 or one of those clownshoes games. Racing on Ps1 and Ps2 was awesome! Sucks that we have a powerful system in the 360, and all they can make are games like Burnout and the like. Had to rant for a bit due to my unhappiness with this game. I thought 3999 was a deal, but at this point I think that it was still overpriced. This game was meant to come out a long time ago, and it shows. AI is suspect at best. Am I the only one with these feelings?
ANY use of a controller on a driving "simulator" is not gonna be realistic. Using the triggers for gas and brake feels like s*** to me. Using the buttons as opposed to the triggers is exactly the same thing to me. I've spent HOURS driving on real life tracks in real race cars, so I'm not just some guy who thinks cars need to hit jumps at 200mph and get power ups to be fun. I'm into serious racing games, but to enjoy this game you need a wheel and pedal setup it seems like. I'd rather spend that money on real cars and real racing. Glad you guys are enjoying it, though!
Posts like this piss me off. Whoop-de-friggen-doo that you have raced in real life. There are many on here that have and doing some sort of racing in our own home at times is a very nice replacement for the real thing. I personally do not know if I have raced against you online, and at this point and time not sure if I really care if I did or do.
For every few that praise efforts like what SimBin has done with RacePro, it takes one jackass that blasts, and pisses and moans that the developer questions what will be in it for them to try another one. Every gripe eventually leads to someone ignoring the title that may have given it a shot, especially at the low , try and grab someone new, release price, but passes because of comments like yours.
For a controller game to be stated that there is not any possible way it can be considered simulation is BS too. I would think a developer knowing that they have one style of controller to develop for is a lot easier then the multitude of controller options for the PC. If anything I am not sure how you can say the PSX/2 was better in the simulation field, because it was not. PC with a wheel is probably the closest you can get to the real thing, some get closer then others with their setups, at their choice, but I have raced against some of the best with a $100 wheel/pedal setup and competed just as well.
It is your right to piss and moan about the game, but just think about what a new developer is trying to do on a system that has much more appeal and distribution possibilities then a PC at this current day and age. I for one hope Race Pro keeps going and I will continue to support it as long as they release, even if it takes a step backward, just to give them some sort of possibility to try and keep their goals alive, with the minimal budgets they have in place.
At least your disappointment and dislike for the game guarantees me one thing, which is a good race amongst the others that I have raced against and one pain in the ass sitting somewhere else not ruining the experience with their unhappiness.

Slow internet connection? Or, full of crap as usual? Don't you ever call me out like that again unless you are prepared to back yourself up.fletcher21 wrote:You'll get it. Do you even know me? I'm honest to a fault. If you must know, my gf recently was laid off from her job and I've been working like a mad man. Gotta support the family. I really don't have anything to prove to you, so it'll be up when it's up. Until then, feel free to label me a liar or whatever else you so choosetoonarmy wrote:Slow internet connection? Oh, well you said you would post a video and said I will owe you an apology. Figured if you were offering to post a video then it was no big deal. I didn't think you would, so no big deal. Don't worry about it if it's that complicated.fletcher21 wrote:Do you even know me? I'm honest to a fault.
