Sunny D also made me think of Five-Alive, which was like some zombie citrus abortion in a carton.

Never had Canfield's. Pretty bad huh??

JD, did you ever drink a pop called Mr Jim's while you were in the Middle East. I swear it was like drinking a bottle of Giorgio cologne.

Like Dylan, Eddie Vedder, Neil Young and others who have cited the song during this last administration, I've never been very fond of war mongerers. If that makes me incredibly tacky, then so be it. All I know is, W and Cheney are gone and I couldn't be happier.pk500 wrote: Agreed. I was referring to the general acrimony, not the Dylan lyrics, the posting of which by GT was incredibly tacky.

I hope they both are OK. Teddy was looking pretty good today.TheGamer wrote:Robert Byrd also. Strangely they were sitting at the same table.JackDog wrote:That's messed up.TheGamer wrote:They're saying that Ted Kennedy collapsed at the inaugural luncheon

Noted intellectuals all, so I can see why you'd line up beside them.GTHobbes wrote:Like Dylan, Eddie Vedder, Neil Young and others who have cited the song during this last administration, I've never been very fond of war mongerers. Nevertheless, while I may not be very fond of sanctimonious songwriters or their simple-minded acolytes, I still find it far from acceptable to wish them dead. But hey, it's the age of moral relativism, so whatever gets you through the night.

Yes they are! My son got to meet a group of them last year. It was absolutely awesome! We talked with them for over 3 hours. I don't care for either Bush or Cheney, either. But they're away from D.C. now, and I wish them healthy, happy retirements, not death.

While what you state above is for the most part true, I have never in my life witnessed a media that has tried to blame any and everything they can on one individual when they and all their bandwagoneers know that one man cannot and does not make policy nor ALL of the decisions. Bush had alot of help on both sides of the aisle, yet hardly anyone acknowledges this from what I can see.pk500 wrote:Rick Wagoner, Bob Nardelli and Alan Mulally aren't the only ones making stupid decisions at GM, Chrysler and Ford, respectively, but they caught the scorn of Congress during recent hearings.DivotMaker wrote:I just don't find him to be the "evil" that many have portrayed him as and I think the disrespect and ill will towards him is unwarranted in many cases and as an absolute minimum, should be shared with the entire administration, not just one man.

In four years time, I think it will be damn interesting to see if Obama is treated the same way for similar results (if this is the case). As of today, I believe many crucifying Bush will be making excuses for the Rock Star in Chief...but 4 years of the same s*** we are going through now might change their perceptions....on the same token, if Obama is even remotely successful at leading this country out of this mess, I have no doubt he will be celebrated and worshipped for it as it will be deserved. Time will tell, as always.
