How about a shout-out for Canfield's Cola, which made Diet Chocolate Fudge soda? They made RC Cola seem luxurious by comparison.

Sunny D also made me think of Five-Alive, which was like some zombie citrus abortion in a carton.

Never had Canfield's. Pretty bad huh??

LOL.

JD, did you ever drink a pop called Mr Jim's while you were in the Middle East. I swear it was like drinking a bottle of Giorgio cologne.

It is nice to hear a different name than Bush after the word president...officially. I hope this is the start of some good things.

Like Dylan, Eddie Vedder, Neil Young and others who have cited the song during this last administration, I've never been very fond of war mongerers. If that makes me incredibly tacky, then so be it. All I know is, W and Cheney are gone and I couldn't be happier.

Noted intellectuals all, so I can see why you'd line up beside them.

Nevertheless, while I may not be very fond of sanctimonious songwriters or their simple-minded acolytes, I still find it far from acceptable to wish them dead. But hey, it's the age of moral relativism, so whatever gets you through the night.

Yes they are! My son got to meet a group of them last year. It was absolutely awesome! We talked with them for over 3 hours. One of the best highlights of my life.

So you wish them dead, too?

I don't care for either Bush or Cheney, either. But they're away from D.C. now, and I wish them healthy, happy retirements, not death.

Take care,

Thankfully, the Inaugural Address held a bit more elegance and gravitas.

Rick Wagoner, Bob Nardelli and Alan Mulally aren't the only ones making stupid decisions at GM, Chrysler and Ford, respectively, but they caught the scorn of Congress during recent hearings.

Catching all the sh*t is part of the job requirement of a CEO, as the buck stops with him. The President is the CEO of the U.S., so he catches the sh*t when his customers are unhappy.

That's the way it's been, is and always will be.

While what you state above is for the most part true, I have never in my life witnessed a media that has tried to blame any and everything they can on one individual when they and all their bandwagoneers know that one man cannot and does not make policy nor ALL of the decisions. Bush had alot of help on both sides of the aisle, yet hardly anyone acknowledges this from what I can see.

In four years time, I think it will be damn interesting to see if Obama is treated the same way for similar results (if this is the case). As of today, I believe many crucifying Bush will be making excuses for the Rock Star in Chief...but 4 years of the same s*** we are going through now might change their perceptions....on the same token, if Obama is even remotely successful at leading this country out of this mess, I have no doubt he will be celebrated and worshipped for it as it will be deserved. Time will tell, as always.
