Well said. Jim Nantz is the Muzak of sportscasters. Adds absolutely nothing to a telecast except for soothing background music.Rodster wrote:Whenever I think of Jim Nantz I think of Golf, soupy music in the background and some touching story I don't care about or can't relate to. He's like the Oprah Winfrey of sportscasters.
He's albino vanilla.
Take care,
PK

How do you know Joe Buck is "that asshole" and Al Michaels is a "pompous ass"? Did you get the pleasure of meeting them in person?XXXIV wrote:Joe Buck?...I cant stand that asshole.
Vin Scully...easily the best. Like poetry.
I used to like Keith Jackson when he was with Frank Broyles back in the day. Was a pretty entertaining combo.
Al Micheals is pretty good for a pompous ass. He does pull it off in a strange way. I think its the way, that when it really matters, he lets the event be the event.
Great point...They might both be regular guys off of the air ..but all I have to go on is how I hear them on TV...and joe buck does play the asshole on the tele.bulls23 wrote:How do you know Joe Buck is "that asshole" and Al Michaels is a "pompous ass"?
