OT: Election/Politics thread, Part 6

I live 2 minutes from a National Wildlife Park that has tons of Canadian geese, so I am familiar with their "crap output". They are also all over the golf courses I play every weekend. No turkeys, but we do see an occasional deer close up when we hike in North Georgia. I know that geese crap all over the place, but seriously, what do you expect them to do? You think they custom ordered their "crap to mass" output? I'm sure they're not too happy about it either. And I'm guessing those animals you despise that inhabit the land around your home, were there long before you were. You don't want wild animals in your yard, then move to the city or better yet..."Share The Land" (cues Guess Who song of same name).matthewk wrote:Geese have an exponentially greater crap-to-mass ratio. I know. I have geese, ducks, deer, turkeys, etc.. in my yard all the time. So you can put those rolling eyes back where they came from. When's the last time you actually saw one of these animals up close?JackB1 wrote:Newsflash!!! All wild animals crap all over the place.
Finally got to see that clip. Does anyone know how that contraption works? It looks like they shove the turkey head first into this little funnel end. I am guessing it suffocates them somehow?Slumberland wrote:I watched that clip at work, but small and without sound. What is that contraption they're putting the turkey in and how does it kill 'em?
I'm a vegetarian.
What's amazing is how clueless that Palin is that this is going on about 15 feet behind her. That creep behind her was like "Hey....I'm gonna be on the TeeVee!!!" And didn't the camera person see that the shot may not be in the best taste? Wow.
Whats amazing is the never end Palin witch hunt...JackB1 wrote: What's amazing is how clueless that Palin .
You are bordering on stalking now.

I didn't post the video. She's the publicity hound that arranged the interview.XXXIV wrote:Whats amazing is the never end Palin witch hunt...JackB1 wrote: What's amazing is how clueless that Palin .

She appeared on 5 different TV shows last week and now she's "pardoning turkeys". Quite a "witch hunt" indeed. I guess it depends on which side you are looking from.
Actually I am the opposite of stalking her. I just want her to go away.
Both parties are challenging a ridiculous number of ballots and often for dumb reasons--Coleman's reps have challenged some only because the voter had the audacity to vote for McCain and Franken.Teal wrote:I thought Al Franken had left comedy behind when he ran for office, but NO! Coleman wants to keep his lead through the recount and any challenged ballot is added after the recount total is made official. Look for Franken to try to end up with 300 more challenged ballots than Coleman.

Speaking of high crap to mass ratios.....
Once again you are making up imaginary enemies. You take a couple of statements and use them to twist people into one of your convenient sterotypes.
Who said I despise the animals? I only despise the geese because all they do is crap all over the place. I live on the lake in part because I love nature. We've had deer, ducks, and even chipmunks eat right out of our hands...and they've all lived to tell about it.JackB1 wrote:I live 2 minutes from a National Wildlife Park that has tons of Canadian geese, so I am familiar with their "crap output". Publicity hound? The media are the ones all coming to her. She's a rock star now. The pardoning of Turkeys is a tradition, not something she just made up to get attention.JackB1 wrote:I didn't post the video. She's the publicity hound that arranged the interview.

You're right. You sound like a real animal lover....matthewk wrote:

It's funny how she was able to say no to the media when they wanted to ask her some tough questions before the election, but now that the election is over, she is everywhere. But yeah, it's not her. It's the media. Doesn't she have a state to govern somewhere? She had better get back to her post and watch out for Russians!matthewk wrote: Publicity hound? The media are the ones all coming to her. Governors pardon turkeys, too, Jack. There's nothing out of the ordinary about that (well, except this particular turkey's pardon was short lived...)JackB1 wrote:I didn't post the video. You know why that is, but I'll point it out anyways. She is no longer being hidden away by the McCain campaign.JackB1 wrote:It's funny how she was able to say no to the media when they wanted to ask her some tough questions before the election, but now that the election is over, she is everywhere.
It could also be that she is everywhere to you because you are stalking her.

Jack, honstly bro. Chill out on people that don't feel the way you do about animals and Palin. It's almost like your trolling. Everybody has their own opinions.
Matt was making a joke and you painted him as an animal hater and you have no idea what kind of man he really is. I do. Palin pardoned a turkey just like hundreds of politicians before her. Yet she's a dumbass who loves the camera? I think it's the other way around. If I had the time and inclination I could post some stuff on Obama's "New" administration, but I don't. I just keep looking for "Change". So far....not so much.
And for the record. It was the management of McCain's campaign that kept he silent for the first few weeks. She's not as dumb as you would like too think. Time to move on man. Your team won.
Remember our conversation about Iraq last week? As of yesterday 160 Iraqi Battalions have taken over security duties for US soliders. Most US soldiers are now in their in base camp waiting to come home in 9 months. The war is pretty much over.
Please don't get this news twisted and think it was because of Obama getting elected,he really had nothing to do with it. It started with the Surge and letting our troops do their duty. I support Obama as my President. The Bill Mahar's of the world will give him credit for ending the war in Iraq. The soldiers and politicians that supported the Surg get the kudos for that.
Of couse I didn't get this news from any of the network anchors. I got it straight from the soldiers in Iraq. This is a perfect example of why I believe those networks live on the adage "If it bleds..it leads". Not much bleeding lately thank God. Some Americans are pretty damn happy with that news.
