Such a beautiful opening win for the Suns. They haven't won an opener in probably 5 years. They always play the Spurs or Mavs. LOL. Even though the Spurs were without Manu, it was a big win. Winning in SA...is a big deal for Phoenix fans. And Amare's dunk at the end of the 4th was absolutely ridiculous. Duncan will like his new poster.
His "and 1" to seal it up was pretty cool as well. That was a damn good game to watch.dbdynsty25 wrote:Such a beautiful opening win for the Suns. They haven't won an opener in probably 5 years. The hack- a -Shack was funny as hell.

Lakers are looking like a team on a mission to start things off. On the other side of town the Clippers still suck. Picking up Camby and Davis and letting go of Maguette and Brand was a mistake and it may have actually made us considerably worse. If that was even possible. I'm stoked we were able to go into OT against Denver but they didn't have Mellow on the floor as he served his suspension and we absolutely botched a possible winning shot chance at the end (nice one Tim). Man I feel like a cubs fan when it comes to my clips.

I like athletes who don't take themselves seriously......
Oh, and I only follow the NBA casually, but good to see the Raptors off to a good start! Is O'Neal the help on the inside the Raptors need?

It's because he's Canadian, eh?
Then again, I think wassisface, the 76'ers guy from Canada (Dalambert I think) got kicked off the Canadian national team before the Olympics for "misbehaving" or something......
In all seriousness though, I saw another show on Nash revolving around his charity work, and even if he wasn't Canadian, I'd have to give him kudos for it.
Give me a guy with 3/4 the talent but twice the heart any day......

Was happy to see the Celtics win down in Houston last night. As strange as it sounds, I thought it was an important game for the Celtics after the Pacers beat them handily. Nice to see Ray Allen shoot well.
Was watching some of ESPN NBA Across the Nation, or whatever it is called, last night and they looked in on the Suns/Nets game. Boy, the Nets looked horrible. Nothing against the Suns as it is always difficult to win on the road but the Nets look absolutely pathetic.
I believe Billups will help the Nuggets moreso than AI will help the Pistons.

There were a ton of numbers put up last night. Parker with 55 for the Spurs, Amar'e w/ 49 for the Suns and Bron Bron with 41 for the Cavs. All in victories. It was a good night to be a hoops fan last night.sportdan30 wrote:Mario Chalmers with 9 steals for the Heat......wow! That's a new Heat record.

Of course, but still. 2 nice wins on the road.
BTW, from a C's fans perspective, I love the trade by the Pistons. Billups was a matchup headache for Rondo since he could overpower him on the post. AI is still very good, but IMO a better matchup defensively for Rajon. And of course , the didn't call Billups "Big Shot" for nothing". Plus, I'm hoping McDyse eventually ends up in green.
Raptors looking pretty good at 4-2. Still not liking our lack of rebounding.
Bustiani, I mean, Bargiani with a decent game yesterday, hopefully he can keep it up.
But man, Bosh is looking AMAZING! Looks like the Olympics has given him quite a bit of confidence. Player of the week! If he keeps this type of play up and the team keeps winning, he should at the very least garner a bit of MVP talk.
Gotta love this time of year...

I was at he Toronta at Atlanta game and Bosh was their whole team. I was surprised that O' Neal didn't do more. The Hawks kept leaving Bosh open from the outside and he kept hitting his jumpers. He has a great jump shot for a bigger guy. He is a very complete player.dskrizzy wrote:Raptors looking pretty good at 4-2. Still not liking our lack of rebounding.

Nice on reaching the game, how did Jose look? Along with Bosh, he should make the all-star game this year. Bosh has come a long way in his time in Toronto. His game just keeps evolving. Too big for smaller PF's and too fast for bigger PF's, match-up problem for most of the league. JO is still trying to get his timing and rhythm after being injured for most of the last 3years. I'm hoping he can find some of his all-star form. But if he can just provide some scoring punch, rebound the ball like we know he can, and be the defensive presense our team has lacked since the franchises beginning, we could see the 2nd round... If we continue to get beat off the dribble and killed on the boards, it will be another 1st round loss.JackB1 wrote:I was at he Toronta at Atlanta game and Bosh was their whole team.
