Have you tried going back to quickplay to see if your scores are there? The track organization on quickplay is outstanding. I assume you can't unlock more songs by doing quickplay however.
Scores are there, but only scores. Ideally, I'd like to be able to see score, stars, instrument, and difficulty level, but the score itself is probably the least important thing for me.
In RB 1 I'm a high level Hard to med-high level Expert drummer. When I sit down to play, I usually look to see what expert level songs I still have to beat or gold star, or what hard level songs I still need to 5 star. With this new set up, I can't see ANY of that in an easy way!!! Yes, I can see score, but it doesn't tell me anything, really.
For example, I may see that I got a 64,585 on one song and a 108,595 on another. That tells me absolutely nothing, as score itself really gives you no information on how well you played. That 64,585 could be out of a max of 65,000, for instance, while the 108,595 could be out of 195,000. There's no way to easily see how well I did on each song. Like wise, I could see a really high score on something but not know I did it on Hard level, and so I don't ever really 'try' Expert level because I forget I never really played it on expert!
Basically, I like to direct my play to beat songs I can't beat, and master those I can, and there is no view in the game that allows me to direct my play in this fashion. I'm actually pretty bummed by this.
I'm not alone, though. It seems to be the single biggest complaint on the Rock Band forums (other than the new drum sets also being crappy), but I have no idea if it is something that they can fix with a patch.
The new songs are mostly fun. it's still a lot of fun for pick-up-and-play fooling around, and it's a better setup for use with family and friends and such, but they hosed the 1p experience for me pretty good. At this point, I think I actually would have prefered if I spent the money to get the songs simply as a massive song pack for RB1.
And on a minor but annoying note, what's with the singer no longer changing to the appropriate sex with sex changes between songs in a single set?!? Seeing some beefy grizzly adams guy singing 'Maps' or something is quite bizarre!
For a game that I thought would have been a 'no-brainer', 'best of the year', 'no way I could be disappointed' release for me, I can't shake a mild feeling of let-down with this one, to the point that I think I'm probably going to still prefer playing DLC on RB1 rather than RB2. Glad I kept the disc, and now I'm also thinking that GH:WT might be the better game for me this year...
