Thanks Murph! Usually I just deck the cabbie, throw him mercilessly to the ground and pop a couple caps in his a$$ for good measure. This is much more amicable.

What's an easy/fast way to get $$$ in this game? I have not found one pedestrian that has $$$ when I kill them. Is that new?

It seems you've just been unlucky. Plenty of peds drop money.

I too do the TCrouch finger gymnastics while driving to give myself a better view of the road. Poor job with the default driving cameras, IMO.

The cabs rides are just cool for some reason. I got drunk on my ass and took a cab instead of driving. The drunken cab-ride was strangely, um, "realistic" (and familiar!).

Multiplayer is insane. Had 6 friends all party-up last night and never left the f'n PARTY ROOM. 2 hours later after blowing-up half the city, having a helicopter-shootout around the statue of liberty, and seeing who could survive being hit by a car at 90mph, we finally said "wanna actual play a deathmatch or something". Greatest 'lobby' in the history of videgames.

Fun tip: take a blackhawk copter, load all your friends in it, fly as HIGH above city as possible, then bail out when they least expect it. Hearing all your friends yelling as they go down in a pilot-less helicopter is strangely HILARIOUS....

couple questions... I'm an hour in... How do I get a helicopter? And also, how do I buy/acquire guns? I am almost out of ammo in my handgun and I need more haha. Thanks!

Patience on the helicopter-you aren't gonna get access to one until later. As far as ammo is concerned, at some point you'll be instructed to drive to an underground gun store, where you can buy guns, ammo, etc. Until then, get a cop car, and do the cop missions. Shooting thugs will get you all sorts of goodies-money, ammo, and weapons you can't buy yet...

Just got access to the Internet Cafe-it has an absolutely hilarious name: TW@. Twat. How funny is that? Anyway, the online stuff is nuts! Shop cars, email, search dates, read local news...all of that. This game is simply insane-and I haven't even gotten off the first dang island yet!

Get a cop car-simple as that. Well, that and then get AWAY from the cops, who don't like having their cars stolen...

The grapics are not that great, but the scope of the city is unmatched in gaming history IMO

About 6 hours of screwing around wiyth it and no freeze yet...and if it did freeze I wouldnt be worried about the game being bugged as much as the console going bye bye...

I agree with both of you...The graphics arent the best around when compared to some other games . They are good enough....

but

When I picked up my copy yesterday a guy was exchanging his 360 copy for a new one (his disk was from the SE version). Not sure why but it may be related.

If you haven't already done this try driving your car into a mailbox and watching all the letters and mail go flying into the air:)
