How did you change pitchers without facing at least one batter?

Very nice. For those who haven't had the chance to play this yet this is one game it is worth picking up for your PS2. The 19.99 price point is perfect.

Be sure to let me know how you like it. I'm very eager to play this game. If it plays anything like the old style NES games, I know I'll love it.

Sweet! I'm guessing the only way to update the rosters is to do it manually? There's no way to share rosters?

Looks as good as the Wii version. (I tried both)

Unfortunately the game has no online features (the biggest problem the game has by far) so no updated rosters or online play at least on the PS2 version.

Wow, fun first game!

Amazes me they can have so much attention to detail in this game. Lost 3-0 to the Cubbies, but it was quite fun.

As soon as my kids hit the sack, I'm going to be up playing for a bit tonight.

How fun is it using just the wii remote and swinging like you do in the wii sports baseball game?

I think you can only use that control setup in exhibition games

Actually you can use it in a season, but then the CPU fields and runs the bases for you.. you just pitch and hit. :(

Oh well.. the game is really a breath of fresh air and quite addicting. Between this a Super Mario World, I'm hooked on the Wii. :)

There should be an Action Replay device coming out for the Wii soon. Hopefully this will let rosters be shared. Right now there is no way to get a roster off your console and share it with anyone else.

Instead of trying to keep up with the current rosters, I've been starting to convert the rosters to classic teams. I edited the Brewers into the 1982 version.

I SERIOUSLY cannot believe at all the little details of baseball in this game.

Pitchers who you can tell are tired, so many nuances of known players are rendered nicely, injuries that keep players in the game, etc...

VERY IMPRESSED with this game and all it has to offer.

Agreed. Game is outstanding. Only complaints have been roster related.

I cannot wait to try this game! Only one more week until my son's birthday.

How long does it take to play a game? I've heard it's pretty quick.

Thanks!

Games go fast. I can finish game between 30-40 minutes on average.

Yeah, a good 30 mins..

Beat Toronto 3-2 on 2 runs in the 9th!

I love being able to take 3 warm up pitches when you bring a new pitcher into the game. This game packs more into it than any baseball game I think I've played before.

I think you'll love it Dan.

It only has 2 flaws:

1) Very few walks, no matter what you tweak

2) The way rosters are handled

You know, like all graphical baseball games, I don't care too much about walks. I just want a semi-realistic fairly quick game of baseball, and this title does it well.

how is the cursor batting like in the game? Does it have any other options for batting?

Thanks for reviving this thread, it motivated me to play more of this awesome game. With Spring Training around the corner, I'm ready to play some baseball. Unfortunately the Santana trade and the Twins heading into rebuilding mode takes the wind out of my sails for MLB 08 or 2k8, so I'm glad this game has an awesome expansion/fantasy draft mode.

Quick question - besides the pitcher showing obvious signs of fatigue on the mound (huffing and puffing), how do you see your pitcher's stamina during the game?

You can bat like in Wii sports baseball, but you can't field or run the bases.
