LEAGUE ANNOUNCEMENT:

It looks like you guys are losing interest in this thing. Do you want to just wrap things up and have the top 4 play in a playoff or just end it now and declare Game7 The Winner?

Give me a vote with of these 3 choices:
1) keep going - let's finnish it out
2) end now and start playoffs
3) just end it now

If the playoffs start now it would be:
NJD vs PHI
SJS vs NYR

Whatever you guys want to do is fine by me.

Personally, I think Game7 was the most consistent guy. He deserves the title if the others don't want the playoff format. I hope we still keep in contact with the odd online game, live has been really crappy since Xmas time, especially with this game. Sudz, I PM'ed you a couple of occasions.

For what it is, Jack you did a great job to keep this league going as long as it did.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I've certainly had a helluva run, helped by a couple of nailbiters and last minute heroics.

I'm all for playing out a playoff, whether or not we finish the last few games of the season.

The way I see it, the final games shouldn't affect who is in the playoff, only the seeding.

If we finalize the seeding as you described, then I know myself and Mark would be up for it. We would only need to wait for Naples to get his machine back in working order and some feedback from seanmac if he wants in.

Are we doing best-of-3's or too ambitious?

As soon as more guys weigh in with their opinions, we can make a decision.
It looks like we will just move ahead and start the playoffs, although Naples console is out of commission right now. Naples would be playing Game7, so I would leave it up to them as to what they want to do. Naples could opt out and then Johnny/Colorado would move into the #4 position and play Game7.
Mark & Seanmac would play in the other best of 3.

Either way, we'll wait until the other guys voice their opinion. Appreciate the feedback.

I loved playing with you guys and am glad that the league went pretty smoothly (good job with the matrix and results list, Jack).

If I need to hop in as the fourth seed that's fine, and I agree that we should probably end it and start the playoffs.

I'm also up for a random XBL game whenever. I'm on a couple times a week and am still having a ball with NHL.

Hey guys. So I reached a deal with a friend who wanted to buy a 360 where he will buy my refurbed one, and I got a new machine, so I should be back online tonight.

As for my vote, I just vote for starting the playoffs. 2 of my remaining four games are against Game7 anyway, so we may as well just cut to the chase and do it when the games really count.

Thanks a lot Jack for pushing this along. Without your effort this thing would never have even gotten off the ground.

OK - We are ending the regular season and moving ahead into the playoffs.
Thanks to everyone who participated! I though the season went pretty smoothly and I appreciate everyone's effort into playing their games.

The playoffs involve the top 4 teams:

#1 - Game 7 (NJD) plays #4 Naples (PHI)
#2 - Mark 1177 (SJS) plays #3 Seanmac (NYR)

The playoffs are best of 3. Top seed gets home 1st, then away, then home again (if needed). Finals are also best of 3.

You can start as soon as you like. Good luck to all 4 teams and may the best man win!
