Jack, first of all as I was telling you thru PM's, you're doing a good job to keep this league alive and well, especially updating the standings and game results. I'd like to think that most of us are trying to get the games going. At least I know I am, as most of my games I played were done around 5PM PST (which is not ideal for me), before my 360 died on me three weeks ago.

Because of the holidays too, maybe some of us are having a more difficult time than others. Having said that I hope the rest can meet up soon and get the playoffs going by the second week of 2008.

Again I'll be on tonight around 5PM PST, need a game with NJ & FLO and two vs COL & Pitt.

In a home and home set, the Canucks and Avs each skate away with a victory, with each coming on their home ice.

Game 1 saw Vancouver capitalize on some lucky bounces and an empty netter for a 3-1 victory.

Game 2, aka the "Roberto Luongo Invitational" saw the Avs outshoot Vancouver 43-8 but only put away two. They escape from Denver with a 2-1 game.

If you get your game in tonite I will give you back the point. I guess "untill tomorrow" is a bit misleading. That goes for both you and Seanmac.

I agree and that's why the next deadline won't be until the 29th. But if the rules aren't enforced, everyone won't be as serious about getting their games in. We've seen it happen here time and time again. That's why I started this whole thing by asking for "seriously committed" players. But for the most part, everyone has been getting their games in and I appreciate the efforts.
In the last part of the schedule, it's going to take a little more work hooking up with those teams you have left to play, but just exchange pm's and arrange a day and time to play. You can't rely on waiting to see them online.

Pittsburgh defeats Vancouver 2-0 with early first period goals from Peter Sykora and Sidney Crosby.

EA servers went down with 5 seconds to go in the game and when clicking on my leagues it keeps saying I am currently not a member of any league.

*EDITED* League seems back, although the servers are real sketchy tonight. JohnnyTheSkin and I have been dumped out of more than a handful of games in the last 20 minutes or so.

I might start up some other game until anyone I have games against hops on.

Luongo was impressive in the loss while the Devils' blocking the passing lanes stymied the Vancouver offense.

good games Seanmac....I couldn't get anything past your goalie.
The first game you dominated, but the 2nd game I thought I had lots of good chances and played better.

You seem to know some "tricks" on how to score...like spots on the ice that work better than others. Is that true?

Not really, no. Honestly, I play so much more FIFA at this point that the first half of every NHL game is a struggle against the controls. And if anything, I bring soccer habits into my play, which I'm not sure is a good thing.
